Coach Liam Coen said Friday that the Jaguars are still trying to determine the extent of the knee injury that is slated to send Hunter to IR, Michael DiRocco of ESPN reports.

With his looming placement on IR in mind, the earliest that Hunter -- who suffered a non-contact right knee injury during Thursday's practice -- could return to action would be Week 13, but it's possible that the No. 2 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft misses time beyond that. With regard to that subject, Coen noted Friday, "We're currently assessing the injury just to determine the best course of action moving forward for Travis and for the team." In Hunter's absence, Brian Thomas, who is managing a shoulder issue, is in line to lead the Jaguars' WR corps, while Parker Washington and Dyami Brown are prime candidates to see added snaps/targets moving forward, with Tim Patrick (groin) also in the mix.

Daniels will start Sunday's game against the Seahawks,

He returned to full practice participation Wednesday after missing the loss at Kansas City on Monday. Daniels made it through the week without any setbacks and will now return to the starting lineup, leading an offense that won't have WR Terry McLaurin (out - quadriceps) in Week 9.

Yankoff (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday night's game against the Seahawks, John Keim of ESPN.com reports.

The Commanders' No. 4 tight end, Yankoff carries almost zero fantasy value behind Zach Ertz, John Bates and Ben Sinnott. Yankoff has zero catches this season.

Rapp underwent surgery on his injured knee this week and is likely going to miss the remainder of the season, Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN.com reports.

Rapp was placed on injured reserve last Friday and appears to be looking at a lengthy absence. Cole Bishop and Jordan Poyer started at safety for Buffalo last week against the Panthers and appear to be in line to start again versus Kansas City.

Coach Sean McDermott said Friday that Davis will not play in Sunday's game against the Chiefs, Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN.com reports.

Davis spent the first half of the season on the practice-squad injured list but returned to practice this week. However, the Bills want to give him more time to ramp up off the injury. It's unclear if Buffalo has plans to elevate Davis at any point this season.

The Steelers placed Ekuale (knee) on injured reserve Friday.

Ekuale's season is over after he suffered a torn ACL in last Sunday night's loss to the Packers. Keeanu Benton and Yahya Black will see the bulk of the nose-tackle snaps for Pittsburgh. Prior to his injury, Ekuale logged six tackles (four solo) and one pass breakup on 14 percent of the Steelers' defensive snaps.

Stevenson (toe) wasn't spotted at Friday's practice, Evan Lazar of the Patriots' official site reports.

With Stevenson having missed practice Wednesday and Thursday, the running back appears to be trending toward missing Sunday's game against the Falcons. If that ends up being the case, TreVeyon Henderson would be in line for added touches Week 9, with Terrell Jennings mixing in. Additionally, the Patriots have RBs D'Ernest Johnson, Jonathan Ward and Rushawn Baker on their practice squad.

The Steelers placed Elliott (knee) on injured reserve Friday.

The move was expected and knocks Elliott out for at least the next four contests. Pittsburgh has already made a move to replace the injured safety after the team acquired Kyle Dugger from the Patriots in a trade earlier this week.

Schultz (knee/shoulder) returned to practice Friday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Schultz didn't practice Wednesday or Thursday, but coach DeMeco Ryans indicated that he expected the tight end to return to the field later in the week, which indeed transpired Friday. The Texans' upcoming injury report is destined to both clarify Schultz's participation level, as well as his injury designation, or lack thereof, for Sunday's game against the Broncos.

Thompson (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Chiefs, Maddy Glab of the Bills' official site reports.

Thompson played 89 percent of the defensive snaps last week against the Panthers and has started each of the past two games for the Bills. With Thompson out against Kansas City, Matt Milano should step back into the starting role again now that he's past his pectoral injury.
