The Eagles signed Steele to the practice squad Monday.

The Eagles waived Steele last Saturday. The running back was able to clear waivers and was invited back to the team's practice squad as a free agent. Steele played in all three preseason games for the Eagles, logging 21 rush attempts for 58 yards as well as 14 receptions for 136 yards and two touchdowns. The 23-year-old will contribute to the practice squad as a reserve running back with dual-threat upside.

The Eagles signed Pierce to the practice squad Monday.

The Eagles cut Pierce on Sunday, and the running back was immediately welcomed onto the team's practice squad. Pierce spent four years with the Texans before shifting to the Chiefs for the 2025 season. The 26-year-old played one game during the 2025 regular season, rushing four times for 10 yards.

The Eagles signed Covey to the practice squad Monday.

The Eagles let Covey go during Sunday's cutdown day. The wide receiver had a strong enough training camp to receive an invitation back to the team's practice squad. Covey participated in all three preseason games, catching five of his eight targets for 44 yards and a touchdown.

The Jets signed Pritchett to the practice squad Monday, Eric Allen and Amanda Vogt of the team's official site report.

The Jets waived Pritchett during Sunday's cutdown day. The wide receiver cleared waivers and has once again earned a practice squad role similar to the one he had during the 2025 season. The second-year player out of South Alabama was not elevated to the active roster for any games in 2025 and is still waiting to appear in his first NFL regular-season game.

The Jets waived McClain during Sunday's cutdown day. The undrafted free agent out of Arizona State cleared waivers and now rejoins the team that took a shot on him in early May. McClain played in all three preseason games, catching three of his six targets for 33 yards.

The Jets waived Camper during Sunday's cutdown day. The wide receiver cleared waivers and signed with the team's practice squad Monday before being cut Wednesday to make room for offensive lineman Kohl Levao.

The Jets signed Zappe to the practice squad Tuesday, Amanda Vogt of the team's official site reports.

The Jets cut Zappe last Saturday. The quarterback was competing for the No. 2 role behind Geno Smith but lost out to Cade Klubnik and Brady Cook. Zappe will now provide additional depth at the position and be ready to be elevated as an emergency quarterback if any of the first three options must miss time due to injury.

The Saints signed Tillman to the practice squad Tuesday.

The Browns waived Tillman last Thursday because he was dealing with an undisclosed injury. The 26-year-old was a valuable depth piece for the team, but with multiple rookie wide receivers, the 2023 third-rounder was no longer needed. Tillman cleared waivers and a medical exam, and he will now provide additional receiver depth to the Saints.

The Saints signed Smartt to the practice squad Tuesday.

The Eagles released Smartt on Saturday. The tight end will provide additional depth to the tight ends on the 53-man roster. If rookie third-rounder Oscar Delp (hamstring) is held out of the Saints' Week 1 matchup against the Lions, Smartt could be elevated to the active roster immediately.

The Saints signed Palmer to the practice squad Monday.

The Saints waived Palmer during Sunday's cutdown day. The wide receiver cleared waivers and will rejoin his 2025 team on the practice squad. Palmer was claimed by the Saints in August of 2025 but never played in a regular-season game for the franchise due to multiple injuries.
