The Patriots signed Larison to the practice squad Monday.

The Patriots waived Larison during Sunday's cut-down day. The running back cleared waivers and will once again rejoin the team that took a chance on him as an undrafted free agent out of UC Davis in 2025. Larison spent the entirety of the 2025 season on the Patriots' IR with a foot issue. The 24-year-old's first shot at an NFL regular-season game could come in 2026 if he is chosen to be elevated or signed to the active roster at any point.

Adams didn't suit up for any of the Rams' three-game preseason schedule.

After logging at least 1,000 receiving yards six times in seven seasons between 2018 and 2024, Adams put together just 789 such yards in his age-33 campaign last year over 14 regular-season games, though he did miss three contest due to a hamstring injury. He salvaged his season with an NFL-leading 14 touchdown catches, displaying an incredible rapport with QB Matthew Stafford. With the Rams' top WR, Puka Nacua, still tending to psoas soreness a week before the team's Week 1 matchup with the 49ers next Thursday, Sept. 10, Adams effectively could be Stafford's No. 1 target out of the gate if Nacua isn't 100 percent.

Flournoy is listed as the Cowboys' third wide receiver on the depth chart behind CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens.

Lamb, Pickens and tight end Jake Ferguson each saw 100-plus targets from Dak Prescott last season, and each of those three pass catchers should see a similar workload in 2026. Flournoy, a sixth-round selection of the Cowboys in the 2024 NFL Draft, saw his offensive production jump in his sophomore campaign, finishing with 40 catches (on 56 targets) for 475 yards and four touchdowns across 16 regular-season games. The Cowboys' offense ranked second in the NFL last season in passing yards per game, and Flournoy would be in line for a bigger workload if one of Lamb, Pickens or Ferguson were to miss time. One of Flournoy's best performances in 2025 was in Week 5 against the Jets, when he caught six passes (on nine targets) for 114 yards in a game that Lamb didn't play in due to an ankle injury.

The Buccaneers waived Williams (undisclosed) from injured reserve with an injury settlement Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Williams spent just two days on injured reserve before being waived. The 28-year-old will now look to get back to full health and find a new opportunity with another team.

Mason and Aaron Jones are listed as co-starting running backs on the Vikings' unofficial depth chart following cutdown day Sunday, Rob Kleifield of the team's official site reports.

The 49ers dealt Mason to Minnesota in March 2025, and the pairing of him and Jones meant a split backfield last season, with the former getting 173 touches to the latter's 160 along the way. Jones did play in four fewer games than Mason (12 vs. 16), but Mason handled far more carries inside the 20-yard line (29 vs. 14), finishing with six TDs to Jones' three. A similar breakdown of work is expected for the duo in 2026, meaning Mason may have the safer fantasy floor of the two.

The Bears released Jones (hamstring) from injured reserve with an injury settlement Wednesday, Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Jones was placed on injured reserve Monday with an undisclosed issue. The cornerback likely believes he can return promptly and participate in the 2026 regular season, leading to the injury settlement with the Bears. Jones is now a free agent and can sign with any franchise's 53-man roster or practice squad as soon as he is medically cleared.

Ferguson did not play in any of the Cowboys' three preseason games.

Ferguson, George Pickens, CeeDee Lamb and Dak Prescott were all sidelined for the entire preseason, ensuring that they will all be available for Week 1 against the Giants on Sunday, Sept. 13. Ferguson is coming offf a career year, finishing the 2025 regular season with 82 catches (on 102 targets) for 600 yards and eight touchdowns across 17 games. Even with Lamb and Pickens both commanding 100-plus targets last year, Ferguson's reliability in the passing game has made him a go-to option for Prescott in the passing game. Ferguson will operate as the Cowboys' top pass-catching tight end this season, with Brevyn Spann-Ford and Luke Schoonmaker providing depth at the position.

Jones and Jordan Mason are listed as co-starting running backs on the Vikings' unofficial depth chart following cut-down day Sunday, Rob Kleifield of the team's official site reports.

Jones and Mason effectively split Minnesota's backfield in 2025, with the former earning 160 touches in 12 regular-season games and the latter getting 173 in 16 such appearances. Mason's goal-line work (29 rushes inside the 20-yard line) helped him total six TDs, while Jones (14 such carries) ended up with only three end-zone visits, which matched the lowest of his career for a campaign. The duo should have a similar breakdown of reps this season, but Jones' age (31) and injury history seemingly make him the riskier of the two to roster for fantasy purposes.

The Lions waived McLaughlin on Wednesday.

McLaughlin was diagnosed with a concussion last Saturday. The center was not waived with an injury designation, meaning he has recovered quickly from the head injury. The 2025 undrafted free agent out of Ohio State will now be subject to waivers, and if he clears, he will become a free agent able to sign with any organization.

The Saints waived Wesley (undisclosed) from injured reserve with an injury settlement Wednesday.

Wesley is headed to waivers just two days after being placed on injured reserve. The 27-year-old will now look to get healthy and catch on with another team.
