Brendel (hamstring) is listed as out for Sunday's game at Houston, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.

Brendel will miss his first game of the season in Week 8 due to a hamstring injury he suffered in Week 7 versus the Falcons. In his absence, Matt Hennessy projects to start at center Sunday at Houston.

Gifford (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game at Houston, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.

Gifford was a limited participant at practice Friday, so it seems his availability for Week 8 is close to a coin-flip proposition. He's played most of his snaps so far this year on special teams, so the 49ers will have to try to replace his production in that phase if he can't go.

Overshown (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's matchup against Denver, Patrik Walker of the Cowboys' official site reports.

Overshown was designated to return from the reserve/PUP list Wednesday and logged a trio of limited practices this week. However, he's not ready to make his season debut and may not do so until utilizing his entire 21-day practice window. That would put the target date for his season debut Monday, Nov. 17 in Week 11 against Las Vegas, following Dallas' Week 10 bye.

The Jets claimed King from waivers on Friday, Susanna Welr of the team's official site reports.

King appeared in five games for the Vikings after they selected him in the sixth round of the 2025 NFL Draft, but they opted to move on from him mid-season, and now he's getting a second chance with the Jets. He's played 77 special teams snaps compared to just three defensive snaps so far this season.

Tom (back) doesn't have an injury status for Sunday's game against Pittsburgh, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports.

Tom is thus good to go for the matchup against the Steelers. He's been managing oblique and back issues throughout the campaign but was able to suit up each of the past two weeks.

Simmons (personal) is expected to rejoin the Chiefs "in a few weeks," Nate Taylor of ESPN.com reports.

Simmons has been away from the team and hasn't played for the past two weeks while dealing with a "family situation." Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said Friday, "It's not a negative situation, so he's taking care of family. He's just taking care of business. That's the main thing. When you deal with this, that's what you do." Jaylon Moore should continue to start at left tackle for as long as Simmons remains out.

Reddick (ankle/knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's matchup versus New Orleans, Brianna Dix of the Buccaneers' official site reports.

Reddick hurt his ankle and knee this past Monday against Detroit, and head coach Todd Bowles said a few days later that the linebacker is going to "miss some time." As such, it's so surprise that Reddick has been ruled out for Week 8, and he might not be ready to return even after the team's Week 9 bye. Anthony Nelson and Chris Braswell could log more defensive snaps at linebacker while Reddick is sidelined.

Trotter (ankle) does not carry an injury designation heading into Sunday's game against the Giants.

Trotter sustained an ankle injury during the Eagles' Week 7 win over the Vikings, which prevented him from returning to the contest. He was unable to practice Wednesday but increased his practice participation over the week and has been cleared to play in Week 8 after logging a full practice Friday. Trotter has mostly served on special teams this season, but his presence also gives the Eagles depth at inside linebacker.

Dickerson (ankle) does not carry an injury designation into Sunday's game against the Giants.

Dickerson avoided an injury tag for Week 8 after logging a full practice Friday. He's in line to start at left guard, though the Eagles could shift him over to center in the absence of Cam Jurgens (knee).

Jurgens (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Giants.

Jurgens was unable to practice all week due to a knee injury that he picked up during the Eagles' Week 7 win over the Vikings. Brett Toth will likely start at center in Jurgens' absence, though the Eagles could also explore starting rookie fifth-rounder Drew Kendall or moving Landon Dickerson from left guard to center. The Eagles are on a bye for Week 9, so Jurgens will have more time to rest and recover ahead of Philadelphia's Week 10 road clash against Green Bay on Monday, Nov. 10.
