Jayden Daniels QB | WAS
Commanders' Jayden Daniels: Won't play in Week 8
Coach Dan Quinn said Thursday that Daniels (hamstring) has been ruled out for Monday's game at Kansas City.
Daniels missed most of the second half of this past Sunday's game at Dallas due to a hamstring injury, and after undergoing an MRI on Monday, it was revealed to be a low-grade strain of his right hamstring. As of Wednesday, he wasn't trending in the right direction to play Week 8, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, and Quinn confirmed as much one day later. The Commanders made the decision so that Daniels can focus only on rehab and treatment this week and that the issue isn't a long-term one, as Quinn told John Keim of ESPN.com. Marcus Mariota will make his third start of the season in place of Daniels on Monday.

Lance McCutcheon WR | TEN
Lance McCutcheon: Joins Tennessee's practice squad
McCutcheon signed with Tennessee's practice squad Thursday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
McCutcheon has had some impressive preseason performances, but the 26-year-old wide receiver hasn't caught any of his five regular-season targets, spread across 10 games with the Rams in 2022. If Calvin Ridley (hamstring) remains sidelined and another injury strikes Tennessee's receiving corps, McCutcheon could get a chance to play.

Trey Smith G | KC
Chiefs' Trey Smith: Unable to practice Thursday
Smith (back) is not practicing Thursday, Matt McMullen of the Chiefs' official site reports.
Smith departed Kansas City's win over the Raiders in Week 7 early due to a back issue, and spasms are now preventing him from participating in practice. The standout right guard will have two more opportunities to get back on the field as at least a limited participant ahead of the Chiefs' game against the Commanders on Monday.

L'Jarius Sneed CB | KC
Titans' L'Jarius Sneed: Moved to IR on Thursday
Sneed (quadriceps) was placed on injured reserve Thursday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
Sneed will miss a minimum of four games after this move. The earliest he could return would be Nov. 30 against the Jaguars. Marcus Harris will likely start opposite Jalyn Armour-Davis in Sneed's absence.

Ray-Ray McCloud WR | CHI
Ray-Ray McCloud: Officially signs to practice squad
The Giants signed McCloud to the practice squad Thursday, Dan Salomone of the team's official site reports.
McCloud will provide New York with depth at wide receiver after having been cut by the Falcons on Friday. He could also contribute in the return game. While McCloud is technically eligible to be promoted for game action as early as Sunday's divisional matchup against the Eagles, it seems likely that he'll need at least a week or two to acclimate to his new offensive scheme.

Devin Neal RB | NO
Saints' Devin Neal: Kamara's top backup with Miller out
Neal will likely take on a larger role following Kendre Miller's season-ending knee injury, Matthew Paras of the New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
Miller tore his ACL in this past Sunday's loss to the Bears, opening the door for Neal to take over as the primary backup to Alvin Kamara (ankle). Neal was a sixth-round selection in the 2025 NFL Draft. He has three carries for 10 yards in three NFL appearances. Velus Jones rounds out the running back depth chart.
-
Kareem Hunt RB | KC
Chiefs' Kareem Hunt: Not practicing Thursday
Hunt (knee) won't practice Thursday, Matt McMullen of the Chiefs' official site reports.
Per McMullen, Hunt is dealing with a bone bruise to his knee. The running back now has two more chances to practice in advance of Monday's game against the Commanders. If Hunt is limited or sidelined in Week 8, added snaps would be available for Isiah Pacheco and Brashard Smith, while Elijah Mitchell -- a healthy inactive in recent weeks -- could also rejoin the Chiefs' backfield mix.
-
Garrett Wilson WR | NYJ
Jets' Garrett Wilson: Not seen at practice Thursday
Wilson (knee) wasn't spotted on the field at Thursday's practice, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
Wilson suffered a hyperextended knee late in the Jets' Week 6 loss to the Broncos in London and hasn't practiced since then. The star wideout thus has one more chance to get some work in before the Jets assign injury designations ahead of Sunday's game against the Bengals. If Wilson remains out this weekend, Josh Reynolds, Arian Smith and Allen Lazard would continue to lead the team's receiving corps.
-
Julian Hill TE | NE
Dolphins' Julian Hill: Not at Thursday's practice
Hill (ankle) is not participating in the early portion of Thursday's practice open to the media, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Hill is on track to miss back-to-back practices due to an ankle injury, which makes his availability for Sunday's road matchup against the Falcons uncertain. If Hill is unable to suit up Week 8, the bulk of targets made available to the TE position by Miami's placement of Darren Waller (pectoral) on IR will go to Tanner Conner, as well as recent practice-squad signee Greg Dulcich.

Dontayvion Wicks WR | PHI
Packers' Dontayvion Wicks: On track to miss Week 8
Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said that Wicks (calf) isn't in line to practice this week, Zach Kruse of USA Today reports.
Though LaFleur didn't definitively rule Wicks out for Sunday's game in Pittsburgh, the third-year wideout is highly unlikely to play while he continues to manage a calf injury he sustained in last week's win over Arizona. Wicks' expected absence could be offset by the potential return of fellow wideout Christian Watson (knee), who is in the midst of his third week of practicing with the team and may be activated from the PUP list ahead of Sunday's contest.
