  • Jets' Jarvis Brownlee: Clears concussion protocol

Brownlee (concussion) does not have any injury designation ahead of Sunday's game against the Browns, Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.com reports.

Brownlee upgraded his practice participation in each Week 5 prep session, going from a DNP on Wednesday to a full participant Friday. The cornerback has cleared the NFL's five-step concussion protocol and is all set to suit up for Sunday's contest.

  • Dillon Gabriel QB | CLE

Browns' Dillon Gabriel: Ruled out despite full week

Gabriel (back) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's game against the Jets, Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.com reports.

Gabriel logged full participation in every practice session during the Browns' Week 5 prep. The quarterback remains on injured reserve due to a back injury, and it appears the team will milk the 21-day practice window until it expires. By keeping the backup quarterback on IR, the Browns save another roster spot for additional players at other positions.

  • Chargers' Brenen Thompson: Won't play against Denver

Thompson (quadriceps) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Broncos.

Thompson opened Week 5 prep with a limited practice Wednesday, but he followed that up with back-to-back DNPs and will miss a third consecutive game due to a quadriceps injury. Quentin Johnston (chest) has also been ruled out, and with Ladd McConkey (foot) listed as questionable, the Chargers will lean more heavily on Tre' Harris, Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Derius Davis at wide receiver.

  • Tylan Wallace WR | CLE

Browns' Tylan Wallace: Ruled out with knee injury

Wallace (knee) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's game against the Jets, Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.com reports.

Wallace has not practiced since sustaining a knee injury in the Browns' Week 3 win over the Panthers. The wide receiver will now miss consecutive games due to the issue, again leaving Malachi Corley as the No. 5 option for the Browns' offense.

  • Trey Lance QB | LAC

Chargers' Trey Lance: Unlikely to suit up vs. Denver

Lance (groin) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Broncos.

Lance was able to suit up against the Seahawks in Week 4, but despite practicing in a limited capacity during Week 5 prep, it appears the sixth-year pro will not be available for Sunday's AFC West clash due to a groin injury. Assuming Lance is ruled out, DJ Uiagalelei will operate as the Chargers' QB2 behind Justin Herbert,

  • Carsen Ryan TE | CLE

Browns' Carsen Ryan: Ruled out with new injury

Ryan (calf) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's game against the Jets, Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.com reports.

Ryan popped up on Thursday's injury report with a calf injury and could only practice in a limited capacity. The tight end downgraded to a DNP in Friday's session, forcing the Browns to rule him out of Sunday's game against the Jets.

  • Derwin James FS | LAC

Chargers' Derwin James: Ruled out for Week 5

James (hamstring) has been ruled out against the Broncos on Sunday.

James will miss a second consecutive game due to a hamstring injury. He has been unable to practice since picking up the injury and is considered week-to-week, so it remains to be seen whether he'll be available to return for Week 6 against the Chiefs on Sunday, Oct. 18. Elijah Molden, Genesis Smith and Tony Jefferson will all step into larger roles in the secondary in James' absence.

  • Donte Jackson CB | LAC

Chargers' Donte Jackson: Won't play versus Denver

Jackson (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Broncos.

Jackson was held out of practice all week due to a hamstring injury, which he picked up during the Chargers' Week 4 loss to the Seahawks. His next chance to play is Week 6 against the Chiefs, but in his absence, Deane Leonard and Rodney Shelley are the top candidates to start at outside cornerback opposite Cam Hart.

  • Browns' Mike Hall: Ruled out for Sunday

Hall (ankle) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's game against the Jets, Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.com reports.

Hall has not been able to practice since sustaining an ankle injury in the Browns' Week 4 win over the Steelers last Thursday. The defensive tackle's absence is compounded by the absence of Mason Graham (knee/ankle), leaving the team with no reserve options on the 53-man roster behind Maliek Collins and Adin Huntington.

  • Broncos' Lil'Jordan Humphrey: Back on Denver's 53-man roster

The Broncos signed Humphrey off the practice squad to the active roster Friday.

It'll be Humphrey's third stint on the Broncos' 53-man roster this season, and it comes after the team placed Pat Bryant (ankle) on injured reserve. Humphrey's lone appearance in the regular season was in Week 2 against the Jaguars, when he failed to haul in his lone target while playing only three offensive snaps. He'll operate in a depth role at wide receiver behind Jaylen Waddle, Courtland Sutton, Troy Franklin and Marvin Mims.
