  • Braelon Allen RB | NYJ

Jets' Braelon Allen: Will be RB1 again for Week 5

Allen will once again operate as the Jets' top running back for Sunday's game against the Browns due to the absence of Breece Hall (quadriceps).

Hall will miss a second consecutive game due to a quadriceps injury, and the star running back has yet to be cleared to return to practice. As such, Allen will be the Jets' RB1 against Cleveland, with Isaiah Davis and Kene Nwangwu providing backfield depth. Allen was the starter for the Jets' Week 4 loss to the Bears, when he turned 14 carries into 59 yards and added two catches (on as many targets) for eight yards.

  • Patriots' TreVeyon Henderson: Could have expanded role vs. Las Vegas

Henderson would operate as the Patriots' RB1 if Rhamondre Stevenson (knee, questionable) is unable to play against the Raiders on Sunday, Evan Lazar of the Patriots' official site reports.

Stevenson was limited in practice all week due to a knee injury, and while he expressed optimism on playing Friday, head coach Mike Vrabel was not quite ready to give the veteran running back the green light for Sunday's game, per Mark Daniels of MassLive.com. Stevenson's status for Week 5 will be worth a close watch, because if he's ruled out or is expected to operate under a snap count, then Henderson would be poised to take over as the Patriots' RB1 for at least one game. Henderson has a 38-141-1 rushing line through three games this season and has caught just one pass (on three targets) for six yards in that span.

  • Saints' Carl Granderson: Cleared to play in Week 5

Granderson (ankle) does not carry an injury designation ahead of Sunday's game against the Vikings, Emily Leiker of The Minnesota Star Tribune reports.

Granderson finished Week 5 prep with an LP-LP-FP practice log, which was enough for him to fade an injury designation and return from a one-game absence due to an ankle injury. He'll start opposite Chase Young at the edge rusher position, with Myles Cole and Chris Rumph providing depth.

  • Saints' Julian Blackmon: Tagged as questionable vs. Minnesota

Blackmon (shoulder) is listed as questionable against the Vikings on Sunday, Emily Leiker of The Minnesota Star Tribune reports.

Blackmon was limited in practice all week due to a shoulder injury, which he likely picked up during the Saints' loss to the Falcons this past Monday. His status for Sunday's game may not known until the Saints announce their list of inactive players about 90 minutes before the 1:00pm ET kickoff. Jonas Sanker would be the top candidate to start alongside Justin Reid at safety if Blackmon is not cleared to play.

  • Kaden Elliss LB | NO

Saints' Kaden Elliss: Won't play against Minnesota

Elliss (calf) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Vikings on Sunday, Emily Leiker of The Minnesota Star Tribune reports.

Elliss was unable to practice all week, and his calf injury will cause him to miss a second consecutive game as a result. Second-year pro Danny Stutsman will continue to start next to Pete Werner at inside linebacker due to the absence of Elliss, whose next chance to play is Week 6 against the Giants on Sunday, Oct. 18.

  • Barion Brown WR | NO

Saints' Barion Brown: Questionable for Week 5

Brown (thigh) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Vikings, Emily Leiker of The Minnesota Star Tribune reports.

Brown was limited by a thigh injury in each of the first two practices of Week 5 prep. Although he's tagged as questionable, his ability to practice in full Friday gives Brown a solid chance at being cleared to play against Minnesota. If the rookie sixth-rounder is ruled out, then Kendre Miller and Jayden Price would likely operate as the Saints' top return options on kickoffs and punts.

  • Tim Patrick WR | NYJ

Jets' Tim Patrick: Questionable to return from IR

Patrick (groin) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Browns.

A full practice participant all week, Patrick could be brought back from injured reserve to help fill in for Adonai Mitchell, who is out for a second straight game with a finger injury. Isaiah Williams filled in as the No. 2 wide receiver last week, with Sterling Shepard called up from the practice squad as the No. 3. If Patrick is activated Friday or Saturday, he could jump into the rotation.

  • Ben Yurosek TE | MIN

Vikings' Ben Yurosek: Tagged as questionable vs. New Orleans

Yurosek (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Saints.

Yurosek opened the regular season on injured reserve due to an ankle injury. His 21-day window to return from IR opened Wednesday, and while he's tagged as questionable for Sunday's NFC North showdown, the positive news is that Yurosek was a full participant in all three practices during Week 5 prep. If he's cleared to make his 2026 regular-season debut, then he would operate alongside Gavin Bartholomew in a rotational role at tight end behind starter T.J. Hockenson.

  • Andrew Wingard SAF | ARI

Cardinals' Andrew Wingard: Won't play against Detroit

Wingard (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Lions, Bo Brack of GoPHNX.com reports.

Wingard was held out of practice all week due to a bone bruise in his knee, which he sustained against the Giants in Week 4. Wydett Williams figures to start alongside Budda Baker at safety due to the absence of Wingard, whose next chance to play is Week 6 against the Rams on Sunday, Oct. 18.

  • Jets' Kiko Mauigoa: Won't play against Cleveland

Mauigoa (quadriceps) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Browns, Brian Costello of the New York Post reports.

Mauigoa was held out of practice all week due to a quadriceps injury, which will force him to miss a third consecutive game. Jamien Sherwood and Demario Davis will continue to operate as the Jets' starting linebackers in the absence of Mauigoa, whose next chance to play is Week 6 against the Patriots on Sunday, Oct. 18.
