Doubs didn't suit up in Thursday's preseason loss to the Browns.

Doubs was among numerous Patriots projected regular-season starters who were held out of Thursday's contest. The veteran wideout didn't play at all during the exhibition slate but drew praise during training camp for his work during practices. Doubs is slated for a major role in his first campaign with New England, as he's set to start alongside A.J. Brown at the WR position.

Mims (foot) went to the locker room during the first quarter of Friday's preseason game against the Vikings and is questionable to return, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports.

Mims appeared to sustain the injury while attempting a leaping reception early in the first quarter. He was able to walk off the field under his own power but was directed to the blue medical tent before going into the locker room. Mims will undergo further tests to determine the severity of his foot injury, but it wouldn't be surprising if the fourth-year wideout was held out for the rest of Friday's exhibition contest.

Samuel didn't play in Thursday's preseason victory against Las Vegas.

The 49ers rested most of their projected regular-season starters, so Samuel's absence was expected. The veteran wideout saw action in one exhibition contest, catching one of two targets for four yards. Samuel should have a key role in San Francisco's passing game due to Ricky Pearsall (knee) being out for the season, and he gives QB Brock Purdy some familiarity among a WR corps that features numerous newcomers, including Mike Evans (groin), rookie De'Zhaun Stribling (shoulder) and Christian Kirk (calf).

Kincaid was held out of Thursday's exhibition win over the Steelers.

Kincaid's absence was simply for rest and injury-avoidance purposes, as Buffalo sat out all of its key regular-season starters. Kincaid ended up playing in just one preseason contest, logging nine snaps without seeing any targets. He's slated to be a key target for Josh Allen in the passing game this season and will next take the field in Week 1 versus Houston on Sunday, Sept. 13.

Purdy sat out Thursday's exhibition win over the Raiders.

San Francisco elected to rest its projected regular-season starters for the team's final exhibition game. Purdy saw very limited work during the preseason slate, getting into one game and completing four of six passes for 29 yards. He'll next take the field against the Rams in Week 1 of the regular season in Melbourne, Australia, on Friday, Sept. 11 (which will be Thursday, Sept. 10 in US time zones). Purdy will be working with a largely new wideout corps, including Mike Evans (groin), Deebo Samuel (returning after a one-year hiatus with Washington), rookie De'Zhaun Stribling (shoulder) and Christian Kirk (calf).

Moore didn't play against the Steelers in Thursday's exhibition victory.

Buffalo elected to rest the bulk of its projected regular-season starters, including Moore, for the team's final preseason game. The veteran wideout saw action in one exhibition contest, catching three of four targets for 61 yards. Moore left that game early due to an ankle injury but has since returned to practice, so he should be good to go as the Bills' top wideout Week 1 of the regular season versus a tough Texans defense.

Cooper (shoulder) has been ruled out for the remainder of Friday night's preseason finale against the Giants.

Cooper exited the first half of Friday's game due to a shoulder injury. The rookie sixth-rounder likely remains set to make the 53-man roster as one of the reserve options on the offensive line. Xavier Hill may get some reps at left guard in Cooper's stead.

Stevenson didn't play in a preseason loss to the Browns on Thursday.

The Patriots rested their projected regular-season starters Thursday, so Stevenson's absence was par for the course. He didn't see any game action during the preseason slate but appears back to full health after dealing with a minor undisclosed injury in late July. Stevenson and TreVeyon Henderson, who is dealing with an ankle injury but is expected to be ready for Week 1, are slated to share backfield duties for New England during the upcoming campaign.

Liufau (wrist) is questionable to return to Friday's preseason finale against the Saints, Nick Harris of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.

Liufau sustained the injury in the first half while playing his new position as an outside linebacker. This will be the 25-year-old's first season as an edge rusher, so new issues as he adjusts to the position in a live game are not entirely surprising. If Liufau cannot return to the contest, Isaiah Land or Tyrus Wheat may see an increase in defensive snaps throughout the second half.

Tracy went to the locker room during Friday's preseason game against the Jets due to an apparent neck injury, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports.

Tracy was tended to by medical staff after taking a big hit on an eight-yard run during the second quarter. The good news was that he was able to walk off the field and into the locker room under his own power. Given that he's being checked for a neck injury, it appears unlikely that Tracy will return to Friday's exhibition contest. If he's indeed done, he''ll finish with four carries for 37 yards and a touchdown.
