King (undisclosed) was waived from injured reserve by the Jets on Wednesday.

King was placed on IR by New York on June 3 after suffering an undisclosed injury. The 23-year-old was set to miss the entirety of the 2026 campaign, but he will now have the chance to pass a physical and play elsewhere this season.

Evans' groin injury is considered minor, and he plans to be ready for the 49ers' Week 1 regular-season opener against the Rams on Thursday, Sept. 10, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN reports.

Evans has missed a bunch of practice time during training camp. first dealing with a quad issue before coming down with a groin injury earlier this week. While he's aiming to be ready for Week 1, Evans and Brock Purdy haven't had much time to work on their chemistry. At 33 years old with a checkered injury history, Evans is shaping up as a boom-or-bust fantasy pick headed into the season.

The Saints signed Long to a contract Wednesday.

Long tried out with the Saints on Tuesday as they searched for additional cornerback depth. The 28-year-old should suit up for Friday's preseason finale against the Cowboys alongside fellow newly signed cornerback Michael Davis. Long will likely be a temporary addition to the Saints, as starting cornerback Quincy Riley (groin) works to get healthy.

The Colts signed Harris to a contract Wednesday.

Harris is an undrafted free agent out of Oklahoma State. The cornerback participated in 12 games for the OSU Cowboys in 2025, totaling 33 tackles (27 solo) over the course of his final collegiate season. The Colts waived cornerback Mekhi Blackmon in a corresponding move.

Kone (lower body) did not participate at the Ravens' training-camp practice Wednesday, Jonas Shaffer of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports.

Kone exited practice early with a lower-body injury Monday and he remained unavailable Wednesday. The Ravens will finish the preseason with a matchup against the Commanders on Friday, and it is unclear if the cornerback will be able to play in the contest.

Gaye (lower body) was carted off the field during Wednesday's joint practice with the Panthers, Mike Kaye of ESPN.com reports.

Gaye appears to have suffered a significant lower-body injury. The linebacker was claimed by the Texans in early May and was on the roster bubble as it was. If the injury has even mild staying power, Gaye will likely be placed on season-ending injured reserve soon.

Pinter (knee) was placed on injured reserve by the Ravens on Wednesday, Clifton Brown of the team's official website reports.

Pinter suffered a torn patella tendon in his right knee during Baltimore's joint practice with the Vikings on Aug. 19. As expected, the offensive lineman will now miss the entire 2026 campaign while on IR.

The Seahawks signed Jones to a contract Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Jones was waived by Seattle previously in August but will now make a return to the team. The running back was likely re-signed to play Emanuel Wilson's (hamstring) role in Friday's preseason finale against the Chiefs. It is highly unlikely that Jones makes it much longer than Friday with the team and will likely be waived come cut-down day. While he may not make the 53-man roster, the running back has a good chance to be a practice squad staple for the team throughout 2026.

Hayes (undisclosed) did not participate in Wednesday's practice, PewterReport.com reports.

Hayes appears to have sustained an injury and will sit out Friday's preseason finale against the Jaguars as well. The cornerback will likely rest and recover as the team prepares for its Week 1 matchup against the Bengals.

Jackson and the Buccaneers agreed on a contract Wednesday, Scott Smith of the team's official website reports.

Jackson was cut loose by the Texans on Monday, and he has now quickly found a new home with Tampa Bay. The wide receiver caught both of his targets for nine yards while also adding a 27-yard kick return and an eight-yard punt return over two preseason contests with Houston. Jackson's best chance to make the Buccaneers' initial 53-man roster will be as a special-teams asset.
