Hayes appears to have sustained an injury and will sit out Friday's preseason finale against the Jaguars as well. The cornerback will likely rest and recover as the team prepares for its Week 1 matchup against the Bengals.

Jackson and the Buccaneers agreed on a contract Wednesday, Scott Smith of the team's official website reports.

Jackson was cut loose by the Texans on Monday, and he has now quickly found a new home with Tampa Bay. The wide receiver caught both of his targets for nine yards while also adding a 27-yard kick return and an eight-yard punt return over two preseason contests with Houston. Jackson's best chance to make the Buccaneers' initial 53-man roster will be as a special-teams asset.

The Texans signed Parish to a contract Wednesday.

Parish has not joined an NFL roster since failing to make the Jaguars' 53-man roster as a seventh-round pick in 2023. The defensive end appears ready to give the league another shot. The 27-year-old will likely play in Friday's preseason finale against the Panthers while Jadeveon Clowney (ankle) and Dominique Robinson (calf) tend to their injuries.

Wilson (knee) was released after reaching an injury settlement with the Lions on Wednesday, per the NFL's official transaction log.

Wilson suffered a knee injury in Detroit's 17-13 preseason victory over Washington on Saturday, and he was placed on injured reserve Monday, effectively ending his season. Now that he's a free agent, the wide receiver will have the chance to pass a physical and play elsewhere in 2026.

The Broncos released Rapp on Wednesday, Aric DiLalla of the team's official site reports.

Rapp signed with the Broncos last Thursday. The strong safety was looking to make a return to the NFL after recovering from a season-ending knee injury he suffered in late October. Rapp was the starting strong safety for the Bills in 2025 before succumbing to injury, starting six games and logging 26 tackles (17 solo). The 28-year-old is now a free agent and can sign with any franchise that wants him.

Houston (groin) was waived/injured by the Buccaneers on Wednesday, Scott Smith of the team's official website reports.

Houston suffered a groin injury in Tampa Bay's 16-15 preseason win over the Chiefs on Saturday, and his ability to play during the 2026 season is now in doubt. If the wide receiver goes unclaimed on waivers, he'll revert to injured reserve with the Buccaneers.

The Colts waived Blackmon on Wednesday.

Blackmon was traded to the Colts from the Vikings last August. The cornerback was recovering from a torn ACL that caused him to miss the entirety of the 2024 season, but he still managed to appear in all 17 regular-season games for the Colts. Blackmon will now be placed on waivers, and there is a good chance he is claimed by a team in need of 53-man cornerback depth. If the 27-year-old clears waivers, he will become a free agent able to sign with any franchise.

Miller (groin) was waived after reaching an injury settlement with the Giants on Wednesday, Patricia Traina of SI.com reports.

Miller reverted to injured reserve with New York on Aug. 18 after suffering a groin injury at training camp. He will now have the chance to pass a physical and play elsewhere in 2026.

The Bills waived Dalena on Wednesday, Alec White of the team's official site reports.

Dalena was on the roster bubble as it was, and the need for additional offensive line depth heading into Thursday's preseason finale against the Steelers was enough to give the wide receiver an early cut. The team signed center Sincere Haynesworth in a corresponding move.

The Dolphins waived/injured Turner (undisclosed) on Wednesday.

Turner will now be subject to waivers, and if he clears will revert to the Dolphins' injured reserve list. If the tight end reverts to IR, he will spend the entirety of the 2026 regular season there unless he is waived with an injury settlement. The Dolphins signed running back Coleman Bennett in a corresponding move.
