Chris Rodriguez Jr. RB | JAC
Jaguars' Chris Rodriguez: Lauded in camp for power running
Rodriguez has drawn positive reviews for his power-running style during training camp, John Shipley of SI.com reports.
Signed to a two-year, $10 million deal in March, Rodriguez made a full recovery from offseason foot surgery in advance of training camp and has been listed as co-starter with Bhayshul Tuten on the Jaguars' unofficial depth chart. With both Rodriguez and Tuten sitting out Jacksonville's first two preseason contests, it's been difficult to gauge how the snaps might be divvied up between the two once the regular season gets underway. While Rodriguez has lived up to his billing in camp as a bruising runner between the tackles, Shipley relays that Tuten "has done nothing to diminish the early-offseason hype." With that in mind, both players appear likely to have meaningful roles in the running game Week 1 versus the Browns, and the two also could see more involvement on passing downs if LeQuint Allen (undisclosed) isn't available. Shipley opines that Rodriguez is probably the Jaguars' best pass-blocking back other than Allen, though Rodriguez could play second fiddle to the shiftier Tuten when it comes to earning targets.

Quinshon Judkins RB | CLE
Browns' Quinshon Judkins: Returns to practice Monday
Judkins (undisclosed) returned to practice Monday, Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.com reports.
Judkins missed the final two practices of last week before sitting out Saturday's preseason loss to the Bills due to what coach Todd Monken described as "a little something nagging, nothing big," per Kelsey Russo of the Browns' official site. Even though he's mixing back into drills, Judkins may be eased in with Week 1 still roughly three weeks on the horizon.

Breece Hall RB | NYJ
Jets' Breece Hall: Works on side Monday
Hall (groin) took part in agility drills on the side at Monday's practice, Brian Costello of the New York Post reports.
Hall has been sidelined since suffering a minor groin strain at last Monday's session, which was expected to keep him out of drills for 2-to-3 weeks. Considering he was "moving well" this Monday, per Costello, Hall may be ahead of the curve in his recovery. In any case, Hall seems likely to miss Friday's preseason game against the Giants, with the focus instead on Week 1 at Tennessee on Sunday, Sept. 13.

Eli Stowers TE | PHI
Eagles' Eli Stowers: Dealing with hamstring issue
Stowers (hamstring) won't practice Monday, Martin Frank of The Delaware News Journal reports.
Per Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia, Stowers appeared to get banged up during Saturday's preseason game against the Patriots. The tight end thus falls into the day-to-day category as Friday's preseason finale against the Bengals approaches. Once healthy, the 2026 second-rounder is poised to work behind top TE Dallas Goedert, a role that may not initially involve steady volume for the rookie, but one that could grow in the event that Goedert misses any time this season.

Makai Lemon WR | PHI
Eagles' Makai Lemon: Practices in full Monday
Lemon (hamstring) was a full participant in Monday's practice, EJ Smith of The PHLY Sports reports.
The rookie has been hampered by a hamstring issue for much of camp but is starting to get on track as the season approaches. Lemon practiced in a limited fashion last week and has upgraded to full participation as of Monday. The rookie still has to play catch-up a bit with the lost time during camp, but a fully healthy remainder of the offseason will put Lemon in a good spot come Week 1.

DeVonta Smith WR | PHI
Eagles' DeVonta Smith: Full participant Monday
Smith (hamstring) is a full participant in Monday's practice, EJ Smith of PHLY Sports reports.
The Eagles got some good news in their receiving corps with both Smith and Makai Lemon (hamstring) full go for Monday's session. Smith returned in a limited capacity last week and is now ramping up further as the season approaches.

Christian Gonzalez CB | NE
Patriots' Christian Gonzalez: Full-go in practice Monday
Gonzalez (ankle) was a full participant in Monday's practice, Andrew Callahan of the Boston Herald reports.
The Patriots got one of the key pieces of their defense back on the practice field Monday, as Gonzalez was a full participant after recovering from an ankle issue. The star cornerback, who remains in negotiations with the team on a contract extension, missed several practices and both of the first two preseason games due to the injury, but he now appears to have moved past the issue.

TreVeyon Henderson RB | NE
Patriots' TreVeyon Henderson: Exits practice with lower leg issue
Henderson left Monday's practice with a right lower leg issue, Mike Kadlick of Sports Illustrated reports.
More updates will be available after practice regarding the extent of Henderson's injury. As long as the issue doesn't linger, Henderson is on track to combine with Rhamondre Stevenson in a New England backfield that should provide enough touches for both players to merit fantasy lineup consideration this coming season.

Xavier Legette WR | CAR
Panthers' Xavier Legette: Remains in walking boot
Legette (ankle) will remain in a walking boot on his foot until Thursday, Steve Reed of the Associated Press reports.
Legette sustained an ankle injury during Wednesday's joint practice with the Jaguars, and given that he'll be in a walking boot until Thursday, he'll presumably sit out Friday's preseason finale against the Texans. When available, the 2024 first-rounder has an opportunity to claim a portion of the Panthers' WR targets that don't go to Tetairoa McMillan or Jalen Coker, a context that may not yield steady volume as long as both McMillan and Coker are available.

Jonathon Brooks RB | CAR
Panthers' Jonathon Brooks: Possible committee with Hubbard
Coach Dave Canales told reporters Monday that the Panthers will go with a committee Week 1 with Brooks and Chuba Hubbard (hamstring), provided that Hubbard is healthy, per Joe Person of the Athletic.
Hubbard logged a full practice Monday after missing time with a hamstring injury, which suddenly puts Carolina's backfield rotation back in flux. Drafters had been aggressively moving Brooks up the ADP all summer, and that movement took another leap after Hubbard was labeled week-to-week with a hamstring issue Aug. 13. Now, it appears that it will be a timeshare in the Carolina backfield, at least to begin the season. The caveat, of course, will be both backs remaining healthy by the time the season kicks off.
