  • Breece Hall RB | NYJ

Jets' Breece Hall: Return to NYJ in play for UFA

Jets GM Darren Mougey said at Tuesday's end-of-season press conference that the team would like to retain Hall (knee) but wouldn't go into specifics regarding whether the Jets are open to using the franchise tag on the pending unrestricted free agent, Antwan Staley of the New York Daily News reports.

Hall sat out the Jets' regular-season finale due to a knee injury after posting a career-high 1,065 rushing yards across the previous 16 games. The versatile playmaker has accrued 5,040 yards from scrimmage in 56 regular-season games since being selected in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft, but Hall has yet to get a taste of NFL postseason action. Hall's likely to have a robust market in free agency, but the Jets could try to bring him back for his age-25 season on the franchise tag if Hall isn't interested in a long-term extension to stay in New York.

  • J.K. Dobbins RB | DEN

Broncos' J.K. Dobbins: Could be back for Super Bowl

Dobbins (foot) is pushing hard to return at some point during the postseason, though a return prior to the Super Bowl on Sunday, Feb. 8 remains unlikely, Nick Kosmider of The Athletic reports.

The Super Bowl will be just over 12 weeks after Dobbins sustained a Lisfranc foot injury Week 10, which landed him on injured reserve shortly afterward. Dobbins has made tangible steps forward in his recovery and has rejoined his teammates at team facilities, though he isn't yet ready to resume practicing. To reach the Super Bowl and give Dobbins a realistic chance to return this season, the Broncos would need to win two playoff games following their bye in the wild-card round. RJ Harvey, Jaleel McLaughlin and Tyler Badie will continue to hold down the fort in the backfield while the Broncos traverse the AFC side of the playoff bracket.

  • Chargers' Omarion Hampton: Spotted at practice Friday

Hampton (ankle) was present for Friday's practice, Eric Smith of the Chargers' official site reports.

Per Kris Rhim of ESPN.com, Hampton -- who was listed as a 'DNP' Wednesday and Thursday -- sported a brace on his right ankle during warmups Friday. Still, the running back's attendance for the session is a step in the right direction for him ahead of Sunday night's playoff opener against the Patriots. The Chargers' upcoming injury report will reveal Hampton's official game status, in any case.

  • Steelers' Isaiahh Loudermilk: Practice window opens

The Steelers announced Friday that Loudermilk (ankle) has been designated for return from IR, Teresa Varley of the team's official site reports.

Loudermilk will have a 21-day window to practice without counting against the active roster. Pittsburgh will have to activate him to the 53-man unit within that span, or he will revert to season-ending IR. The defensive tackle started the first two games of the regular season before landing on IR due to a high-ankle sprain.

  • Zach Allen DE | DEN

Broncos' Zach Allen: Records 7.0 sacks in 2025

Allen finished the 2025 regular season with 38 tackles (14 solo), including 7.0 sacks, and six passes defensed across 17 games.

Allen had another strong season with the Broncos, as the seventh-year defensive lineman continued to be a difference maker as a member of the team's formidable defense. The 28-year-old proved that he could still disrupt an opponent's game plan with his ability to get to the quarterback. Allen's 7.0 sacks were his second most in a single season and the fourth-highest total among Broncos defenders this season. Allen's signed a four-year extension with Denver in August, so he'll reprise his role as a key defensive contributor for the 2026 campaign following Denver's 2025 postseason run.

  • Buccaneers' Ben Bredeson: On track for offseason program

Bredeson (knee) is expected to be fully healthy in time to participate in Tampa Bay's offseason program, Greg Auman of Fox Sports reports.

Bredeson missed the final four games of the 2025 regular season due to a knee issue, but it doesn't appear that his recovery will impede his activity level this offseason. He remains under contract with the Buccaneers for two more seasons.

  • Ed Oliver DT | BUF

Bills' Ed Oliver: Could practice next week

Bills head coach Sean McDermott said Friday that "it's not out of the question" for Oliver (biceps/knee) to resume practicing next week, should Buffalo defeat Jacksonville in Sunday's wild-card matchup to advance in the AFC playoffs, Joe Buscaglia of The Athletic reports.

McDermott stressed that a number of boxes still have to be checked before Oliver returns to action, but it's possible the starting defensive tackle could return as a contributor if the Bills manage to go advance at least as far as the AFC divisional round. Oliver has been on IR since late October due to a biceps injury, and he also underwent a procedure to address a meniscus injury in his knee in late December.

  • Bills' Shaq Thompson: Questionable, expected to play

Bills head coach Sean McDermott said Friday that Thompson (neck) will be listed as questionable for Sunday's wild-card round matchup against the Jaguars but is expected to play, Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN.com reports.

Thompson previously played through his neck injury in Week 17 before staying on the sideline in Week 18 to rest up for the playoffs. With middle linebacker Terrel Bernard (calf) already ruled out to face Jacksonville, the presence of starters Matt Milano and Thompson will be especially crucial for Buffalo's defense.

  • Matt Prater K | BUF

Bills' Matt Prater: Won't practice Friday, could play

Bills head coach Sean McDermott said Prater (quadriceps) will not practice Friday but stressed that his situation isn't unusual for a kicker, Maddy Glab of the team's official site reports.

Prater practiced in full Thursday, but it appears he'll receive an official questionable designation for Sunday's wild-card game against the Jaguars. McDermott said Buffalo will monitor how the kicker's health holds up during the weekend. After missing back-to-back games, Prater returned to action Week 18 versus the Jets but then was forced off the field early due to an apparent aggravation of his quad injury. If Prater isn't able to play Sunday, Matthew Wright will stand to be elevated from the Bills' practice squad for spot duty.

  • Riley Moss CB | DEN

Broncos' Riley Moss: Logs career high in defensed passes

Moss posted 80 tackles (57 solo), including 1.0 sacks, and 19 passes defensed (including one interception) over 17 games in 2025.

Moss finished a solid third season with the Broncos, leading the team in passes defensed and recording the first sack of his young career. The 25-year-old cornerback's 80 tackles counted for the third-highest total among Broncos defenders behind only linebacker Alex Singleton (135) and safety Talanoa Hufanga (106). Playing opposite of arguably the best corner in the game in Patrick Surtain, Moss did a solid job helping to make Denver's secondary one of the strongest units in the league this season. The Iowa product will enter the final year of his rookie deal next season before becoming an unrestricted free agent in 2027. Moss should continue to stay busy during the 2026 campaign as offenses choose to shy away from throwing in Surtain's direction.
