  • Jaxson Dart QB | NYG

Giants' Jaxson Dart: Heads to medical tent

Dart went to the medical tent during the first quarter of Saturday's preseason game against the Vikings, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports.

Dart took a big hit from Vikings safety Jay Ward in the first quarter, and he was evaluated by team doctors shortly thereafter.

  • Bailey Zappe QB | NYJ

Jets' Bailey Zappe: Hurts chances in job battle

Zappe, who's battling rookie Cade Klubnik for the Jets' No. 2 quarterback job, hurt his chances in Friday's preseason loss to the Buccaneers, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.

Klubnik got the surprise start Friday after Geno Smith was ruled out due to an ankle injury, and he turned in a solid first two drives of the game. Meanwhile, Zappe followed Klubnik and completed six of 10 passes for 55 yards, but two of his incompletions were interceptions, including one pick-six. Zappe will have two additional preseason games to make his case, but Cimini notes the veteran signal-caller appears to clearly be behind Klubnik at the moment.

  • DJ Moore WR | BUF

Bills' DJ Moore: Limps off with possible ankle injury

Moore came off the field grabbing his ankle during Saturday's preseason game against the Panthers, Matt Parrino of The Syracuse Post-Standard reports.

Moore got off to a fast start with three catches for 61 yards on the first two drives, but he was favoring his leg/ankle after the last of those receptions. He came off the field and talked with trainers for a moment before walking to the bench and putting his helmet on the rack. The trainers and a team doctor then briefly met with Moore again on the bench before the wideout got up and started walking around on the sideline.

  • Patriots' Carlton Davis: Practices in full Saturday

Davis (hamstring) was a full participant in Saturday's practice, Evan Lazar of the Patriots' official site reports.

Davis said he is still getting over the issue but feels good. The cornerback's return to practice means he may be able to suit up for a few snaps in next Saturday's preseason showdown against the Eagles. If the team wants to take Davis' return slowly, Kindle Vildor and Marcellas Dial may see more snaps at cornerback throughout the preseason.

  • Giants' Greg Newsome: Dealing with knee issue

Newsome (knee) will not play in Saturday's preseason game against the Vikings, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports.

It is unclear when exactly Newsome picked up the knee issue. The cornerback is set to start opposite Paulson Adebo (hamstring), who is also not playing in Saturday's game, during the regular season. The Giants will likely roll with Deonte Banks and Colton Hood for the majority of snaps at cornerback throughout the preseason.

  • Paulson Adebo CB | NYG

Giants' Paulson Adebo: Won't play Saturday

Adebo (hamstring) will not play in Saturday's preseason game against the Vikings, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports.

It is unclear when Adebo picked up the hamstring issue, but the injury will likely keep the cornerback out for at least another week. Adebo is set to start at outside cornerback opposite Greg Newsome (knee) this season. Both starters are dealing with injuries, so the Giants will likely lean on Deonte Banks and Colton Hood throughout the preseason.

  • Andru Phillips DB | NYG

Giants' Dru Phillips: Not playing Saturday

Phillips (knee) will not play in Saturday's preseason game against the Vikings, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports.

Phillips suffered a knee sprain in last Wednesday's practice and has not practiced since the incident. The slot cornerback's absence Saturday means Ar'Darius Washington will likely be the starter for the foreseeable future. Phillips does not currently have a defined return timeline, and it remains to be seen if he will be fully healthy for the start of the regular season.

  • Jalin Hyatt WR | NYG

Giants' Jalin Hyatt: Not suiting up

Hyatt (ankle/leg) will not play in Saturday's preseason game against the Vikings, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports.

Hyatt has been set to miss Saturday's game since Thursday. The wide receiver has been dealing with a leg issue, and the 24-year-old recently suffered an ankle injury as well. Hyatt currently has no return timeline, and if he continues to miss key preseason reps he may not make the 53-man roster.

  • Giants' JuJu Smith-Schuster: Not playing Saturday

Smith-Schuster (knee) will not play in Saturday's preseason game against the Vikings, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports.

Smith-Schuster is still nursing the knee injury he suffered early in training camp. The wide receiver has no clear return timeline, meaning Odell Beckham and Isaiah Hodgins will likely see a higher share of snaps throughout the preseason.

  • Malik Nabers WR | NYG

Giants' Malik Nabers: Not suited up for exhibition opener

Nabers (knee) isn't in uniform for Saturday's preseason opener against Minnesota, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports.

The Giants seemingly will play a lot of starters for the first exhibition under a new coaching staff. Nabers, of course, won't be one of them, having just recently taken some reps in team drills while wearing a non-contact jersey. He's making a bid to play Week 1, but it'll be hard to manage even a cameo this preseason when the games are already starting and he hasn't been cleared for contact. With JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee) and Jalin Hyatt (ankle) also unavailable Saturday, the Giants could take an extended look at young receivers like Malachi Fields and Dalen Cambre -- the only two WRs on the roster besides Nabers who are still on their rookie contracts.
