Cardinals' Walter Nolen: Undergoes surgery on left knee

Nolen successfully underwent surgery on his left knee Tuesday, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.

Nolen suffered a season-ending knee injury during the Cardinals' Week 16 loss to the Falcons. The extent and severity of his injury is not clear, but he could be facing a recovery timeline that would put him jeopardy of missing the start of the 2026 campaign. The rookie first-rounder logged 11 tackles (eight solo), including 2.0 sacks, two pass defenses and a fumble recovery for a touchdown across six regular-season games.

  • Titans' Jeffery Simmons: Reaches double-digit sacks

Simmons logged seven tackles (four solo), including 1.0 sacks, and a forced fumble during the Titans' 34-26 loss to the Saints on Sunday.

Simmons made his impact felt early in the first quarter, when the Pro Bowl pass rusher strip-sacked Tyler Shough for a seven-yard loss, though the Saints were able to recover the football and punt on the next play. Simmons is up to 10.0 sacks on the year, which is the first time in his seven-year NFL career that he has cracked double digits and is tied with Maxx Crosby (knee) for 12th most in the league. Simmons' final chance to add to his sack total this season comes this Sunday on the road against the Jaguars.

It was the ninth time that Gray recorded double-digit stops and the third time that he played every single defensive snap. It was the second game in a row in which Franklin posted five tackles or less and the fourth time across 16 regular-season games. He's up to 113 combined tackles in 2025, but it's a far cry from his output in each of the three prior seasons, including in 2024 when he led the league with 173 combined tackles across 17 regular-season games. Franklin will look to finish the 2025 campaign strongly this Sunday against the Texans.

  • Kei'Trel Clark CB | ARI

Cardinals' Kei'Trel Clark: Moved to IR

The Cardinals moved Clark (back) to injured reserve Tuesday, Darren Urban of the team's official site reports.

Clark developed a back injury during Week 17 that forced him out of last Sunday's loss to the Bengals. The cornerback's movement to IR will end his 2025 season, as the Cardinals have been eliminated from playoff contention. Clark finished with 25 tackles (17 solo) and two passes defensed over 14 games. Kalen King will likely operate as the reserve slot cornerback for the Cardinals' Week 18 divisional matchup against the Rams.
