Sims (undisclosed) is considered day-to-day, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

It's not clear what kind of issue Sims is dealing with or when he'll be able to return to practice. Until then, Cole Turner and Jeremiah Franklin may move up in the Dolphins' tight end pecking order.

Wallace (shoulder) recorded three tackles during Thursday's 33-30 preseason win at Arizona.

Wallace underwent surgery to address a shoulder issue after an injury ended his year early in 2025, but he was able to suit up for the unofficial start of the preseason. He is a candidate for a starting role at linebacker in 2026, but he'll need to find a way to stay healthy to put himself on the IDP radar.

King completed 21 of 34 passes for 180 yards, two touchdowns and zero interceptions during the Panthers' 33-30 win over the Cardinals in Thursday's Hall of Fame Game. He added three carries for 39 yards and a score.

Kenny Pickett was under center for the Panthers' first three drives before the keys were turned over to King in the second quarter. King got to work right away, leading Carolina on a 10-play, 65-yard drive that ended with a 15-yard touchdown pass to Ja'Seem Reed before adding a five-yard touchdown pass to Anthony Tyus on the second play of the fourth quarter. King made one clutch play after another during the Panthers' final drive, including a 26-yard scramble on third-and-14, and his five-yard run on the game's final play resulted in the game-winning touchdown for Carolina. It was an impressive performance out of King, who signed with the Panthers in late April as an undrafted free agent after his name wasn't called during the 2026 NFL Draft. Although Pickett is the favorite to win the backup QB role behind Bryce Young, King could steal that job away if he can continue to play well in training camp and preseason games. The Panthers' next exhibition game takes place Saturday, Aug. 15 against the Bills.

Coach Kevin Stefanski said Friday that Bates is nursing a "minor" back injury, Marc Raimondi of ESPN.com reports.

Bates could be held out of some drills during training camp, but it doesn't seem like it will affect his availability for Week 1 of the regular season. He figures to occupy one of Atlanta's starting safety spots when healthy in 2026.

Amos (lower leg) passed his physical and has been removed from the Commanders' PUP list as of Friday.

Washington was taking a cautious approach with Amos as he tended to some soft tissue soreness during the offseason, but it looks like he's now ready to get back up to full speed. If he can hang on to a role similar to the one he was in last year prior to suffering a season-ending fibula fracture in Week 10, he'll be a big piece of the Commanders' secondary in 2026.

Weaver is in concussion protocol after Thursday's preseason game versus the Panthers, Tyler Drake of ArizonaSports.com reports.

Weaver presumably suffered the concussion during the Hall of Fame Game, and there's no word yet on when he'll be available again. In the meantime, rookie fifth-rounder Reggie Virgil and free-agent acquisition Devin Duvernay could get a bump up in the receiver rotation.

Jesse Newell of The Athletic indicates Johnson has been fourth in the team's RB pecking order behind top option Kenneth Walker, as well as both Emari Demercado and Brashard Smith to this point in training camp.

While Newell indicates that the Chiefs were thrilled to land Johnson in the fifth round of April's draft and suggests that the rookie's long-term prospects with the team remain unchanged, it looks like he may have some ground to make up ahead of Week 1. Things could of course change as the summer progresses and Johnson continues to develop, but for now, his role behind Walker has yet to be determined, while the team's RB2 job remains up for grabs. The Chiefs' preseason opener is Aug. 15 against the Rams, with added context regarding backfield slotting presumably set to arrive via the release of the team's first unofficial depth chart prior to that contest.

Coach John Harbaugh said Skattebo's early exit from Friday's practice is "nothing serious at all," Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports.

According to Duggan, Skattebo went down in the middle of Friday's session and appeared to be stretching out his hamstring, after which he didn't mix into drills the rest of the way. Harbaugh also told Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News that Skattebo is merely working his way back from last season's dislocated right ankle. How Skattebo fares the rest of training camp and the preseason will determine his ultimate workload once Week 1 arrives, with Tyrone Tracy and, to a lesser extent, Devin Singletary also on hand for backfield reps.

Mims (undisclosed) left Friday's practice with an apparent injury, Nick Kosmider of The Athletic reports.

With Jaylen Waddle dealing with a muscle strain and Mims having left practice Friday, the Broncos' top healthy WRs at the moment are Courtland Sutton, Troy Franklin and Pat Bryant. Following the high-profile offseason addition of Waddle to work alongside Sutton, however, Mims' path to steady volume is murky as he competes with Franklin and Bryant for slotting behind the top duo.

Thornton (undisclosed) exited Friday's practice early, Sam Warren of The Athletic reports.

Thornton, who is coming off a 2025 season in which he caught 10 passes for 135 yards on 30 targets over 15 games, is competing with Jack Bech and Malik Benson for slotting in a Las Vegas WR corps that's led by Tre Tucker and Jalen Nailor. Any missed time won't help his cause, but in any case the team's No. 3 option at the position may not see heavy volume in 2026, with two-TE sets featuring Brock Bowers and Michael Mayer likely to be used frequently this season.
