  • Chargers' Omarion Hampton: Uneven rookie season ends in loss

Hampton lost a yard on his only carry in the 16-3 wild-card loss Sunday to the Patriots.

The rookie was active for the postseason contest despite failing to practice both Wednesday and Thursday due to an ankle injury, but the Chargers opted not to give Hampton any work as Kimani Vidal took all 11 of the team's other RB carries. It was a rollercoaster of a season for the 2025 first-round pick, as Hampton was thrust immediately into prominence Week 1 due to Najee Harris' eye injury and capped off a solid first month with an explosive 165 total yards on 17 touches Week 4 against the Giants. That game ended up being Hampton's only contest over 100 total yards the rest of the season, however, as the 22-year-old missed seven weeks due to a fractured ankle and returned to an offensive line completely in tatters by Week 14. The Chargers are certainly invested enough in Hampton to make him a sought-after fantasy asset in 2026, but the team will need to make a concerted effort to rebuild an offensive line that was decimated by injuries by the end of the season. Hampton is expected to have at least one complementary piece alongside him come next year, whether it be exclusive rights free agent Vidal, a cheaper veteran comparable to the aforementioned Harris or a combination of both.

  • D'Ernest Johnson: Let go by Patriots

Johnson was waived by the Patriots on Monday.

Johnson played two snaps on special teams in Sunday's 16-3 win over the Chargers in the wild-card round but has been released from New England's 53-man roster the next day. He had 14 carries for 25 yards in eight regular-season games, seven of which came with the Patriots after Johnson notched one appearance for the Cardinals.

  • Jaycee Horn CB | CAR

Panthers' Jaycee Horn: Another stellar season

Horn (head) recorded 37 total tackles (26 solo) and eight passes defensed, including five interceptions, across 16 regular-season games in 2025.

Horn was off to an impressive start in his playoff debut before exiting Saturday's wild-card loss to the Rams with a head injury, finishing with two total tackles and one pass defensed. The former first-round pick from South Carolina proved to be one of the NFL's premier outside cornerbacks in 2025, allowing just a 72.3 passer rating when targeted while tying for the second-most interceptions in the league. Having signed a four-year, $100 million extension last offseason, Horn is expected to remain one of the Panthers' top outside cornerbacks heading into the 2026 season.

  • Xavier Legette WR | CAR

Panthers' Xavier Legette: Disappoints in sophomore season

Legette caught one of four targets for eight yards during Saturday's 34-31 wild-card loss to the Rams. Additionally, he recorded 44 kick return yards.

The 2024 first-round pick from South Carolina was one of six Panthers to catch a pass from Bryce Young during Saturday's loss, finishing with the fifth-most receiving yards on the team. Across 15 regular-season appearances, Legette caught 35 of 64 targets for 363 yards and three touchdowns, finishing the year as Carolina's third-leading receiver. Heading into his third season in the NFL, Legette likely will remain a depth option in the Panthers' receiving corps following the emergence of Tetairoa McMillan and Jalen Coker during the 2025 campaign.

  • Tommy Tremble TE | CAR

Panthers' Tommy Tremble: Career year in 2025

Tremble caught all three of his targets for 22 yards during Saturday's 34-31 wild-card loss to the Rams.

Tremble made his presence felt during the Panthers' wild-card loss, finishing as the team's third-leading receiver while hauling in all of his targets. The fifth-year pro from Notre Dame signed a two-year extension with Carolina last offseason and quickly validated the move, setting career highs in both receptions (27) and yards (249) during the 2025 season. With Tremble, Ja'Tavion Sanders (ankle, IR) and Mitchell Evans all under contract for 2026, Carolina's tight end room will likely remain crowded heading into next season.

  • Jake Martin DE | WAS

Commanders' Jacob Martin: Career-high 5.5 sacks in 2025

Martin had 5.5 sacks among his 39 tackles (17 solo) while playing in all 17 regular-season games in 2025.

Martin set new career highs in both sacks and tackles while tacking one pass defensed and one forced fumble onto his ledger. He started 14 games, matching his total from the 2021 season in Houston. Outside of those two campaigns, Martin has only one regular-season start in six other NFL seasons. His career-best output in 2025 should help Martin earn some attention in free agency this offseason.

  • Quan Martin SAF | WAS

Commanders' Quan Martin: Misses 100-tackle mark by one

Martin recorded 99 tackles (52 solo) and three passes defensed while playing in all 17 regular-season games in 2025.

Martin set a new career high in tackles, missing the century mark by one. The 2023 second-round draft pick made 16 starts before being demoted to a bench role in the season finale. Martin will be in the mix for the Commanders' starting free safety role in 2026.

  • Commanders' Mike Sainristil: Four INTS in second season

Sainristil had 85 tackles (51 solo) and four interceptions among his 12 passes defensed in 2025. He also returned one punt for no gain.

Sainristil has played in all 17 regular-season games and notched at least 12 passes defensed in each of his first two NFL campaigns. The 2024 second-round draft pick is likely to maintain a starting cornerback role for the Commanders in his third NFL campaign after doubling his rookie-season total with four interceptions in 2025.

  • Von Miller OLB | WAS

Commanders' Von Miller: Bumps career sack total up to 138.5

Miller recorded 9.0 sacks among his 26 tackles (16 solo) while suiting up for all 17 games in the 2025 regular season.

Miller has been reduced to a situational pass rusher at age 36, but he proved effective in that role for the Commanders, increasing his career regular-season sack total to 138.5 with his highest single-season mark in that category since 2021. He notched a sack in four of his last five games, but it remains to be seen if the Super Bowl 50 MVP wants to go out on that note or chooses to chase another championship by signing with a more competitive team in 2026.

  • Frankie Luvu LB | WAS

Commanders' Frankie Luvu: Production dips in 2025

Luvu recorded 86 tackles (42 solo), including 3.0 sacks, while adding six passes defensed and two forced fumbles in 2025.

Luvu started all 17 regular-season games for a third consecutive season but recorded his lowest totals for tackles and sacks since the 2021 campaign. The 29-year-old linebacker appears to be on the downslope of his career, so the Commanders may consider cutting Luvu prior to the 2026 campaign for a $6.9 million cap penalty rather than absorbing the full $11.3 million cap hit from the final year of his three-year, $31 million deal.
