DaRon Bland CB | DAL
Cowboys' DaRon Bland: Officially ruled out for Week 16
Bland (foot) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Chargers, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.
Bland's absence for Sunday's game comes as no surprise after Cowboys owner Jerry Jones relayed Friday that the fourth-year corner may undergo season-ending surgery to repair a foot injury he sustained against the Vikings in Week 15. Rookie third-rounder Shavon Revel (knee) would likely start opposite Caelen Carson (shoulder/hamstring) for the rest of the season if Bland goes under the knife.

Ben Skowronek WR | PIT
Steelers' Ben Skowronek: Cleared for Sunday
Skowronek (illness/hand) doesn't have an injury designation ahead of Sunday's game against the Lions, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports.
Similar to last week, Skowronek managed to log a full practice on the final day of the week to be cleared of any injury designation heading into gameday. This marks consecutive weeks that the wide receiver will play through a hand injury. The 28-year-old played just four offensive snaps last week with no targets, making his living on 65 percent of special teams snaps. This week will likely be no different for Skowronek, who sits behind DK Metcalf, Calvin Austin, Adam Thielen, and Marquez Valdes-Scantling on the wide receiver depth chart.

Nick Herbig LB | PIT
Steelers' Nick Herbig: Unlikely to play vs. Detroit
Herbig (hamstring) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Lions, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports.
Herbig managed to log a limited practice Friday, but his hamstring injury appears to be severe enough that he'll likely be sidelined for Sunday's contest. With T.J. Watt (calf) already ruled out, rookie fourth-rounder Jack Sawyer would be the top candidate to start at edge rusher opposite Alex Highsmith if Herbig is sidelined for Week 16.

Davante Adams WR | LAR
Rams' Davante Adams: Not expected back Week 17
Rams coach Sean McVay said Friday that Adams is unlikely to return for Week 17 against the Falcons on Monday, Dec. 29, Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com reports.
While unlikely to contribute during the most important part of the fantasy season, Adams may be back in time for the crucial portion of his own team's campaign (the playoffs). Thursday's loss at Seattle may end up decreasing the incentive to rush Adams back for Week 18, depending on the outcome of various games for the Seahawks/Rams/49ers over the next couple of weeks.

James Pierre CB | MIN
Steelers' James Pierre: Won't play Week 16
Pierre (calf) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Lions, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports.
Pierre will end up missing a second straight game due to a calf injury that he likely picked up during the Steelers' Week 14 win over the Ravens. Asante Samuel -- who intercepted Tua Tagovailoa during Pittsburgh's Week 15 victory over Miami -- will likely start at outside corner opposite Joey Porter on Sunday in Pierre's absence.

Quenton Nelson G | IND
Colts' Quenton Nelson: Limited in practice Friday
Nelson (wrist) was limited in practice Friday.
Nelson popped up on the injury report Friday. The wrist injury doesn't appear to be related to anything suffered in last Sunday's loss to Seattle, as he played all 60 snaps on offense in Week 15. The 29-year-old still has another practice opportunity Saturday ahead of Monday night's matchup against the 49ers.

Amik Robertson CB | WAS
Lions' Amik Robertson: Questionable with hand issue
Robertson (hand) is listed as questionable ahead of Sunday's game against the Steelers.
Robertson has been wearing a club on his injured hand, leading to limited practice designations throughout the week. The slot cornerback has yet to miss a game this year and will likely play through the injury Sunday, as the Lions' playoff hopes are on the line. If the 27-year-old is unable to play or cannot play his normal snap share, Avonte Maddox may be tasked with some defensive snaps at slot cornerback in Sunday's game.
-
T.J. Watt OLB | PIT
Steelers' T.J. Watt: Not playing vs. Detroit
Watt (chest) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Lions, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports.
Watt continues to be sidelined due to a partially collapsed lung that he underwent surgery for during Week 15 prep, which will result in the superstar pass rusher being sidelined for Sunday's contest. Watt would likely have to return to practice in at least a limited capacity to have a realistic chance of returning for the Steelers' Week 17 road tilt against the Browns on Sunday, Dec. 28. With Watt out and Nick Herbig (hamstring) listed as doubtful, rookie fourth-rounder Jack Sawyer could be thrust into a starting role opposite Alex Highsmith against Detroit.
-
Thomas Harper SAF | DET
Lions' Thomas Harper: Set to start
Harper (concussion) doesn't carry an injury designation ahead of Sunday's game against the Steelers.
Harper was a full participant in practice this week and has officially cleared concussion protocol. The free safety has avoided an injury designation just in time to take up the mantle of starting free safety from an injured Kerby Joseph (knee). Harper's last starting opportunity was in Week 13 against the Packers, when he totaled four tackles (one solo) through 58 defensive snaps.

Francisco Mauigoa LB | NYJ
Jets' Francisco Mauigoa: Won't play vs. NOLA
Mauigoa (neck) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Saints.
Mauigoa was unable to practice during Week 16 prep due to a neck injury and will miss a second consecutive game as a result. His next chance to play is Week 17 against the Patriots on Sunday, Dec. 28, though he would have to log at least a limited practice to have a realistic chance at playing.
