Marchand extended his point streak to four games with this two-point effort, and he has three multi-point performances over that stretch. The veteran has been the engine that has kept the Panthers' offense going all season long, tallying 39 points (20 goals, 19 assists) in 33 games so far.

Marchand picked up two assists in Wednesday's 3-2 win over the Kings. The veteran winger had a hand in tallies by Carter Verhaeghe in the second period and Sam Bennett just 10 seconds into the third, with the latter proving to be the game-winner. Marchand has gotten onto the scoresheet in three straight games, racking up three goals and six points, and on the season he's compiled 19 goals and 37 points in 32 contests with 90 shots on net, 24 PIM and a minus-3 rating.

His tally Monday was also the game-winner, his second such goal this season. Marchand had the Panthers' last two goals of the game, including a back-breaker late in the second period. He had gone three contests without a point after racking up four points versus the Blue Jackets last Saturday. Marchand was consistent in November but has turned explosive on offense at times in December. He's up to 18 goals, 16 helpers, 86 shots on net, 18 hits, 22 PIM and a minus-6 rating through 30 outings this season.

After collecting two helpers in the second period to help the Panthers erase a 4-1 deficit, Marchand scored himself to help Florida rally again after falling behind 6-4. The 37-year-old winger then set up Sam Bennett for the OT winner with just four seconds left in the extra frame. The four points were a season high for Marchand, and he's up to 16 goals and 31 points in 26 contests overall, putting him on pace to challenge his career highs of 39 goals from 2016-17 and 100 points from 2018-19, both of which came with the Bruins.
