  Lewis (lower body) was designated for injured reserve Wednesday. Considering Lewis is expected to be out of action for 4-6 weeks, his designation for injured reserve shouldn't come as a surprise. Prior to getting hurt, the veteran winger was mired in an 11-game goal drought, during which he generated a meager eight shots on net to go with two assists. In his absence, Tanner Jeannot, Alex Laferriere or Alex Turcotte could move into a top-six role.

  Lewis (lower body) will be out of action for 4-6 weeks, according to Russell Morgan of Hockey Royalty on Tuesday. Lewis sustained the injury in Saturday's 5-2 win over Ottawa. He has accounted for three goals, seven points, 25 shots on net, 15 blocked shots and 46 hits through 25 appearances this season. Andre Lee will probably replace Lewis in Wednesday's lineup versus Dallas.

  Lewis recorded two assists, three hits and a plus-2 rating in Saturday's 4-1 win over the Red Wings. Lewis set up Tanner Jeannot's goal in the first period as well as Adrian Kempe's empty-netter in the third. This effort snapped a four-game drought for Lewis since his two-goal game Nov. 5 in Minnesota. The 37-year-old forward has done fairly well in a fourth-line this season, racking up seven points, 21 shots on net, 34 hits, eight PIM and a plus-2 rating over 19 appearances.
