Hedman picked up two assists in Monday's 4-0 win over the Panthers. Both helpers came in the first period, as the veteran blueliner had a hand in tallies by Nikita Kucherov and Jake Guentzel. Hedman's goal drought has reached 14 appearances, but he's been plenty productive over that stretch with 12 assists, including four on the power play.

The helper was Hedman's first point in three games since he returned from missing two contests due to a lower-body injury. The 34-year-old defenseman has had few dry spells this year while serving as the Lightning's unquestioned top blueliner. He's at four goals, 22 helpers, 68 shots on net, 51 blocked shots and a plus-5 rating through 29 appearances.

Hedman has 25 points, including 21 helpers, in just 27 games in 2024-25. He could challenge for another 70-plus point season this year.

Hedman (lower body) will play against Columbus on Tuesday, according to Erik Erlendsson of LightningInsider.com. Hedman will return to the top pairing and first power-play unit after missing the last two games. He has generated four goals, 25 points, 64 shots on net and 47 blocked shots across 26 appearances this season. With Hedman back in the lineup, Declan Carlile will be a healthy scratch versus the Blue Jackets.

Hedman looks poised to return following a two-game stint on the shelf due to his lower-body problem. Prior to his absence, the veteran blueliner was stuck in a 10-game goal drought but racked up nine helpers during that stretch, including four with the man advantage. Look for Hedman to rejoin the No. 1 power-play unit if given the all-clear ahead of puck drop Tuesday.
