Trocheck did a bit of everything to grind out a win for the Rangers. His first-period tally stood as the game-winner, and he also assisted on Chris Kreider's empty-netter in the third. Trocheck had gone three contests without a point prior to Friday, though he has three goals and five assists over nine outings in December. For the season, the veteran center is at 20 points, 83 shots on net, 110 hits, 28 blocked shots, 23 PIM and a minus-2 rating through 32 appearances.

Trocheck logged an assist, four shots on goal, two hits and five PIM in Wednesday's 3-2 win over the Sabres. Trocheck has four goals and four assists over his last seven outings. He got the puck to Adam Fox, who fired home a long-range empty-netter, which ended up being the game-winner in Wednesday's contest. Trocheck is up to 18 points (six on the power play), 71 shots on net, 91 hits, 25 blocked shots, 23 PIM and a minus-3 rating through 28 contests while serving in a top-six role.

Trocheck contributed a goal and an assist Sunday in a 7-5 loss to the Kraken. Trocheck scored his second power-play marker of the season in the second period, and he added a helper on Alexis Lafreniere's ninth goal of the season in the final frame. Trocheck has racked up two goals and five points over his last two games, and he's gotten on the scoresheet in four of the last five games after snapping a six-game scoring drought. The right-shot center didn't record an assist across 14 games in November, but he appears to have turned the corner in that regard with his dynamic start to December. Trocheck has collected eight goals and nine assists through 26 appearances.

Trocheck recorded one goal and two assists in Friday's 4-2 win over the Penguins. After experiencing a drought of just two goals in 12 contests from Nov. 1-27, Trocheck has rebounded with three goals and five points across his past four appearances. The 31-year-old still has just 15 points (seven goals) through 25 outings this season, which is well below his scoring pace from the 2023-24 regular season (77 points in 82 games). He should continue to find ample opportunities to produce on the first line alongside Artemi Panarin and Alexis Lafreniere.

Trocheck beat the buzzer when he deflected a shot while falling down with two seconds left in the first period. It was the second straight game with a goal for the second-line center, who was on the ice for a team-high 22:45 and won 19 of 29 faceoffs. He has six goals, six assists, 56 shots, 78 hits, 21 blocks, 16 PIM and a minus-3 rating over 23 appearances.
