Danault (undisclosed) won't play versus Washington on Sunday, Zach Dooley of the Kings' official site reports. Danault will miss at least one game after registering an assist in 18:36 of ice time in Saturday's 3-2 overtime loss to Nashville. He has three goals, 17 points, 52 shots on net, 29 blocked shots and 31 hits through 33 appearances this season. Andre Lee will replace Danault in Sunday's lineup.

Danault's tally in the second period was the third in a span of 2:18 for the Kings, which chased Igor Shesterkin from the contest. With two goals and three helpers over his last eight games, Danault is finding a little more offense lately. He's at three tallies, 15 points, 50 shots on net, 29 hits, 28 blocked shots and a plus-5 rating over 30 appearances in a middle-six role this year.

The 31-year-old center has been fairly steady in a middle-six role this season, but he's had four slumps of three contests, which is just enough to make him a fringe option in fantasy. He had five assists over his 10-game goal drought. The veteran center has played more of a supporting role on offense this year in addition to his heavy defensive workload. He has two goals, 11 points, 37 shots on net, 22 hits, 20 blocked shots and a plus-1 rating across 23 appearances in a middle-six role.

The 31-year-old set up a Mikey Anderson goal in the first period of Saturday's win. Danault didn't look good in October, but things have started to click for him in November. The second-line center is up to 10 points, 30 shots on net, 19 hits, 17 blocked shots and a plus-3 rating over 19 appearances.
