Brodin picked up an assist in Saturday in a 4-1 win over the Flyers. Brodin missed eight games due to an upper-body injury before playing against the Flyers. He took his usual spot on the first pairing and fired three shots in 25:06 of playing time. Brodin's fantasy contributions are linked more to his 45 blocked shots than his offensive contributions (two goals, seven assists) through his 20 appearances. Brodin is also behind Jared Spurgeon, Declan Chisholm and Brock Faber on the power play depth chart.

Brodin (upper body) will return to the lineup Saturday against the Flyers, Jessi Pierce of NHL.com. Brodin had missed Minnesota's last eight games after suffering an injury in late November. The 31-year-old Brodin logged two goals, eight points and a plus-7 rating in 19 games prior to the injury.

Brodin (upper body) has resumed skating, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports Tuesday. Brodin was labeled week-to-week last Wednesday, but it appears he's improving. He has not yet joined a full-team practice, and his return should not be considered imminent until that happens.

Brodin (upper body) is regarded as week-to-week, per the Wild on Wednesday. Brodin hasn't been in the lineup since Nov. 25, and this update seems to imply he's not close to returning. He has two goals and eight points in 19 outings in 2024-25. David Jiricek, who was acquired by Minnesota from Columbus on Saturday, might get an opportunity to play during Brodin's absence.
