Jones (foot) is now considered day-to-day but won't play against Washington on Tuesday, Mark Lazerus of The Athletic reports. Jones has been out of the lineup since Nov. 14 versus the Kraken, a stretch of 14 games on the shelf that appears to be nearing its end. In 17 games this year, the Texas-born defenseman has generated two goals and eight helpers, including five power-play points. Once given the all-clear, Jones should retake his spot with the man advantage in addition to eating up plenty of minutes on the blue line.

Head coach Luke Richardson said Wednesday that Jones (foot) is expected to miss approximately four weeks, Charlie Roumeliotis of WGN Radio reports. Jones was placed on injured reserve Saturday after suffering a right foot injury on a blocked shot against Seattle on Wednesday, and he was already expected to spend more than the minimum amount of time on injured reserve. The 30-year-old will likely be unavailable until mid-December, while Nolan Allan, Alec Martinez and Alex Vlasic will likely take on increased roles until Jones is able to return.

Jones (foot) doesn't have a specific timeline to return but won't be ready when first eligible next Saturday versus the Flyers, Ben Pope of the Chicago Sun-Times reports. Without saying it outright, head coach Luke Richardson's update suggests Jones is somewhere in the week-to-week range. The Blackhawks will likely have to navigate without their top blueliner for the remainder of November. Look for Nolan Allan and Alec Martinez to take on increased minutes while Alex Vlasic figures to benefit from a spot on the top power-play unit.

Jones (foot) was placed on injured reserve Saturday, per the NHL media site. According to Ben Pope of the Chicago Sun-Times, Jones sustained a right foot injury on a blocked shot against Seattle on Wednesday. Jones' placement on IR will prevent him from playing in at least the next three games. He has registered two goals, eight assists, 38 shots on net, 34 blocked shots and 22 hits through 17 appearances this season. Due to Jones' absence, Nolan Allan will probably return to the lineup versus Vancouver on Saturday.

Jones registered an assist and three blocked shots in Sunday's 2-1 overtime win over the Wild. Jones found Philipp Kurashev for the game-winning goal at 1:50 of overtime. With three points over his last five games, Jones has played well to begin November after ending October quiet. The defenseman is up to two goals, eight helpers, 35 shots on net, 31 blocked shots, 22 hits and a minus-3 rating across 16 appearances in a first-pairing role this season.
