Jones (foot) doesn't have a specific timeline to return but won't be ready when first eligible next Saturday versus the Flyers, Ben Pope of the Chicago Sun-Times reports. Without saying it outright, head coach Luke Richardson's update suggests Jones is somewhere in the week-to-week range. The Blackhawks will likely have to navigate without their top blueliner for the remainder of November. Look for Nolan Allan and Alec Martinez to take on increased minutes while Alex Vlasic figures to benefit from a spot on the top power-play unit.

Jones (foot) was placed on injured reserve Saturday, per the NHL media site. According to Ben Pope of the Chicago Sun-Times, Jones sustained a right foot injury on a blocked shot against Seattle on Wednesday. Jones' placement on IR will prevent him from playing in at least the next three games. He has registered two goals, eight assists, 38 shots on net, 34 blocked shots and 22 hits through 17 appearances this season. Due to Jones' absence, Nolan Allan will probably return to the lineup versus Vancouver on Saturday.

Jones recorded an assist, two hits and three blocked shots in Saturday's 4-3 shootout win over the Kings. Jones started the year strong, but some of the shine has started to come off after a four-game slump. He snapped that dry spell by helping out on Tyler Bertuzzi's game-tying goal in the final minute of regulation. Jones is up to eight points, 30 shots on net, 21 blocked shots, nine hits, six PIM and a minus-2 rating over 12 appearances this season. While his offense may falter at times, Jones is a lock to see huge minutes, giving him plenty of chances to rack up non-scoring production.
