He's been moved to the minors because Los Angeles activated Kuemper off injured reserve in a corresponding move.

Copley replaced starter David Rittich in the second period of Wednesday's 6-2 defeat to the Maple Leafs, stopping 10 of 12 shots faced. Copley wasn't exactly stellar in his relief performance, though he did stop all six shots he faced at even strength. With Darcy Kuemper (lower body) in doubt, the 32-year-old Copley could get the starting nod on the road versus Montreal on Thursday in the second game of the Kings' back-to-back. Once Kuemper is given the all-clear, Copley should be headed back to AHL Ontario.
