Tkachuk found the twine for the second straight game, and the star winger continues to enjoy a solid stretch of play after going through a rather uneven start to the campaign. The 27-year-old has scored in five of his last eight games, including potting multiple goals three times in that stretch. Over that eight-game span, Tkachuk has racked up 14 points (eight goals, six assists). Furthermore, he's up to 18 points (eight goals, 10 helpers) over his last 11 appearances.

Tkachuk scored a power-play goal on four shots in Monday's 6-5 win over the Oilers. Tkachuk followed up a run of 15 points over six games with three straight scoreless outings, in which the team scored a total of two goals. The Panthers' offense came back to life Monday, and Tkachuk contributed a goal late in the first period to help the cause. The winger is up to 11 tallies, 20 assists, 13 power-play points, 78 shots on net, 46 hits and 22 PIM through 27 appearances this season.

Tkachuk received a fair share of criticism due to a slow start to the season, but that's a distant memory now. The 26-year-old winger has been on a tear of late with four straight multi-point performances. It's safe to say that Tkachuk has put his somewhat sluggish start to the season behind him. The 26-year-old winger has five multi-point performances in the last nine games, including three goals and nine points in the first two contests of December alone, becoming the first Panther in history with nine points in a two-game span. Tkachuk's five-point effort was also the fourth of his career, tying him for sixth in NHL history among American players -- and matching the career total of his father Keith.

Tkachuk had two goals and two assists in a 5-4 loss to the Penguins on Tuesday. Tkachuk had three points (one goal, two assists) in the third period alone. Only two players in Panthers history have had more in one period: Noel Acciari (four points, including three goals, in the second period Dec. 20, 2019) and Olli Jokinen (four points; two goals, two assists in the third period March 17, 2007). Tkachuk has 602 points (225 goals, 377 assists) in 611 career NHL games. His current streak stands and four games and eight points, including six assists.
