Podkolzin scored a goal and added three hits in Saturday's 6-2 win over the Rangers. Podkolzin has gotten top-six looks despite his sporadic offense, and he finally rewarded head coach Kris Knoblauch's faith. The winger opened the scoring at 17:34 of the first period, adding a goal to his five assists over 22 outings this season. He's also produced 52 hits, 31 shots on net, 11 PIM and a minus-1 rating. If Podkolzin can build off of this effort, he'll have appeal in deeper fantasy formats.

Podkolzin picked two apples Tuesday in a 5-2 win over Ottawa. Podkolzin snapped a seven-game point drought with the helpers and looked like a natural playing with Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl. The winger has high-end potential and could become a fantasy star if he can show some consistency with the Oilers' big two. He'll need to start shooting more, though -- Podkolzin hasn't scored a goal since the 2022-23 season, and he has just 27 shots in 20 games this campaign. Still, it was a big game for the talented winger, who was plus-2 and had two takeaways, three hits and three blocks.

Podkolzin notched an assist, four shots on goal and two hits in Sunday's 4-2 win over the Flames. Podkolzin set up Leon Draisaitl's tally just 20 seconds into the game. This was Podkolzin's third helper of the year, all of which have come over the last five games since he moved onto Draisaitl's left wing. The 23-year-old Podkolzin has added 15 shots on net, 32 hits, nine PIM and a minus-3 rating, providing a bit of grit in a top-six role.

Podkolzin notched an assist and four shots on goal in Friday's 4-0 win over the Penguins. Podkolzin got on the scoresheet for the first time as an Oiler with a secondary helper on Evan Bouchard's second-period goal. In Friday's game, Podkolzin saw a season-high 14:09 of ice time, though he's been seeing second-line usage at even strength for a few games. The 23-year-old winger has nine shots on net, 20 hits, four PIM and a minus-1 rating over eight appearances, adding a little toughness to the lineup, though he'll likely end up in a bottom-six role again at some point.

Podkolzin was traded to Edmonton from Vancouver on Sunday in exchange for a 2025 fourth-round pick. Podklozin was limited to just 19 games at the NHL level last year in which he garnered two assists, 20 shots on goal and 71 hits while averaging 10:49 of ice time. With Vancouver, the 23-year-old Russian may have struggled for regular minutes, but he should be in contention for the Opening Night roster in Edmonton -- especially if the club decides to allow Dylan Holloway to leave for St. Louis.
