The 29-year-old defenseman continues to see big minutes on the top pairing alongside Mikey Anderson, but they form more of a shutdown duo than a significant scoring threat. Gavrikov has 15 points, 39 shots on net, 67 blocked shots and a plus-17 rating through 32 appearances, putting him on pace for a career year. That level of production is worth considering in fantasy, though the rest of the Kings' blueliners figure to take a drop in value once Drew Doughty (ankle) makes his season debut at some point in January.

Gavrikov picked up two assists in a 3-2 overtime loss to the Penguins on Tuesday. Gavrikov snapped a five-game point drought with the helpers, giving him 13 points, including 11 assists, in 31 games this season. He won't push for a new career mark, but Gavrikov could flirt with 30 points this season. He's also on track for a career high in blocks -- he will approach 170 if he maintains this pace and stays healthy in the process.

Gavrikov isn't typically known for offense, but he is on a near 30-point and 180-block pace this campaign. He has notched two goals and six helpers across his last 13 outings.

This was just the second helper over the last seven games for Gavrikov, though offense isn't a huge part of his playing style. The 29-year-old defenseman has contributed nine points, a plus-11 rating, 26 shots on net, 13 hits and 49 blocked shots through 23 outings in a top-four role this season.

With five points over eight contests in November, Gavrikov has been surprisingly effective on offense lately. The 28-year-old blueliner is up to two goals, six assists, 24 shots on net, 39 blocked shots and a plus-12 rating through 19 outings overall. Gavrikov should continue to see significant minutes in a top-four role, though it wouldn't be surprising for most of his contributions to come in a non-scoring capacity.
