Suzuki gave Montreal an early, albeit brief, lead when he finished off a 2-on-1 rush with Cole Caufield. The tally was the 11th of the season for Suzuki, who extended a point streak to eight games, during which he has four goals and seven assists.

Suzuki scored a goal on three shots and assisted on a power-play goal in Tuesday's 2-1 overtime win over the Islanders. He also blocked two shots and had one hit. Suzuki assisted on Patrik Laine's power-play tally that put Montreal on top, 1-0, then took advantage of a good bounce on a rebound for the game-winner in overtime. It was the third consecutive two-point night for Suzuki. The tally was his 10th of the season (third game-winner) and the helper his 16th, giving him a team-high 26 points (six on the power play) through 25 outings.

After posting nine points over the final eight games last month, he assisted on both of Cole Caufield's goals Sunday. Suzuki scored a goal on two shots in Wednesday's 4-3 overtime win against the Blue Jackets. Both of Suzuki's shots came in overtime, when Elvis Merzlikins was unable to glove the first shot before Suzuki buried the rebound for the game-winner 48 seconds into the extra period. The marker was his fourth in the last seven contests. Suzuki is up to 20 points (eight goals, 12 assists) through 22 outings.
