Suzuki one-timed a pass from David Savard, beating Charlie Lindgren just inside the post to tie the game at 3-3 late in the second period. Earlier in the same period, he assisted on Cole Caufield's power-play tally. The sizzling Suzuki has 13 points (four goals, nine assists) over the last nine appearances.

Suzuki's point streak is up to seven games, and this was his third straight multi-point effort. The 25-year-old center has all of his offense this year during the streak, accumulating three goals and eight assists. He's added 22 shots on net, nine hits, seven blocked shots and an even plus-minus rating over nine appearances. Suzuki has yet to maintain a point-per-game pace over a full campaign, but he was close with 77 points in 82 outings in 2023-24.

Suzuki's first helper came early in the second period when he got his stick on the puck during a battle in the slot before Kirby Dach cleaned it up. The 25-year-old Suzuki also fed Cole Caufield for Montreal's fourth goal. The two-point night extended Suzuki's point streak to six games, during which he has two goals and seven assists.

After opening the campaign with a six-game goal-scoring drought, Suzuki finally put a puck in a net. His first came in the first period after the Rangers went up 4-0. The captain then connected on the power play early in the second period, closing the gap to 4-2, when he worked around a defender and beat an outstretched Igor Shesterkin with a backhander. He now has points in five straight.
