  Miromanov was recalled from AHL Calgary on Saturday. Miromanov was recalled as the Flames are down to six healthy defensemen, after Zayne Parekh was forced to leave Friday's game with an upper-body injury after being hit into the boards by Chicago's Nick Foligno. Miromanov played one game with the Flames earlier in the season, blocking two shots in 17:49 of action, and had one goal and three assists in seven AHL games before his recall.

  Miromanov was waived by the Flames on Monday, James Mirtle of The Athletic reports. The decision to waive Miromanov likely means that Zayne Parekh will be staying up with the club for the foreseeable future. Once he clears waivers, the 28-year-old Miromanov figures to link up with AHL Calgary and could see minor-league minutes for the first time since 2023-24 when he was in the Vegas organization with AHL Henderson.

  Miromanov scored a goal on two shots in Thursday's 5-3 win over the Devils. Miromanov has played in three of the Flames' last four games. He's been out of the lineup more often than not since the start of January, playing in just 11 of 31 contests while picking up two points in that span. The defenseman has two goals, eight points, 47 shots on net, 53 blocked shots and a plus-3 rating over 40 appearances this season. It's a career year for him, but the uncertainty in his playing time makes him tough to roster in most fantasy formats.

• Flames' Daniil Miromanov: Gets into lineup Friday

  Miromanov played on the third pairing and went minus-1 with one shot on goal in Friday's 4-2 loss to the Avalanche. Playing time has been hard to come by for Miromanov in recent weeks. Since the start of January, he's appeared in just nine of 28 contests, picking up a single assist with 10 blocked shots, seven hits, 10 shots on net and a plus-1 rating. He bumped Brayden Pachal from the lineup Friday, but Miromanov is not guaranteed to stay in for the Flames' upcoming four-game road trip that begins in Toronto on Monday. Given the volatility of his playing time, Miromanov is not a strong option for fantasy.
