  • Cooley scored a goal on two shots and added an assist in Saturday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Golden Knights. Cooley opened the scoring at 11:52 of the first period and set up an Ian Cole tally in the second. Over the last three games, Cooley has filled a top-line role, earning three points and a plus-3 rating in that span. The center is up to two goals, eight assists, 23 shots on net, eight hits and a plus-3 rating through 12 outings overall. Cooley will have more upside as long as he's playing alongside Clayton Keller, but he should be good for Utah anywhere in the top six.

  • Cooley scored a goal in a 3-2 loss to Los Angeles on Saturday. Cooley redirected Michael Kesselring's shot at the top of the crease for his first goal of 2024-25. The 20-year-old Cooley had three shots to bring him up to 17. After a 20-goal and 44-point performance across 82 regular-season appearances in 2023-24, Cooley is finally finding his edges and has delivered seven points (one goal, six assists) through nine outings this campaign. He's firmly ensconced in the second-line center role for Utah and is getting solid power-play time. Cooley could be a 60-plus point player this season.

  • Cooley recorded an assist and two shots on goal in Saturday's 2-1 overtime win over the Bruins. Cooley is up to six assists through six appearances this season, though he's yet to score on any of his 13 shots on net. The 20-year-old center is known for his playmaking, so it's not surprising to see him rack up the helpers while playing on the second line and second power-play unit. As long as he maintains those roles, Cooley will be a solid depth option in most fantasy formats.

The 20-year-old center helped out on both of Dylan Guenther's goals in the contest, showing strong chemistry between the second-line forwards. Cooley produced 44 points and 151 shots on goal over 82 games as a rookie in 2023-24, and he could surpass the 50-point mark this year with a stronger supporting cast.
