• Canadiens' Lucas Condotta: Sent down to minors

  Condotta was reassigned to AHL Laval on Monday. Condotta has logged seven games for the Canadiens this season recording one goal on five shots, 10 hits and three blocked shots while averaging 8:12 of ice time. The decision to move Condotta to the minors could be an indication the team is preparing to bring Rafael Harvey-Pinard (leg) back from his conditioning assignment with AHL Laval.

  Condotta scored a goal in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Blue Jackets. Condotta's third-period tally gave the Canadiens a little breathing room, stretching their lead to 3-1. It was his first point in five games this season, to go with three shots on net, six hits and three blocked shots. Condotta is competing with Michael Pezzetta for the last spot on the fourth line. It's a battle the former is currently winning, but it won't lead to much production for fantasy purposes.

Condotta made his season debut after being called up from AHL Laval on Wednesday, after the Canadiens loaned Oliver Kapanen to his Swedish team. He centered the fourth line Thursday and won both of his faceoff draws.

  Condotta was called up from AHL Laval on Saturday. Condotta's call-up is presumably insurance for Josh Anderson (lower body), who was injured in Saturday's game versus the Blues and is questionable to play against the Flyers on Sunday. Condotta has three assists and two PIM in six AHL appearances this season.
