The winger has been steady, but he hasn't earned a multi-point effort in November, though four of his eight points this month have come on the power play. Overall, Svechnikov has eight goals, 18 points (nine on the power play), 73 shots on net, 35 hits, 20 PIM and a minus-1 rating over 21 contests in a top-six role.

Svechnikov scored a power-play goal in Thursday's 4-2 loss to the Devils. The 24-year-old forward found twine just 12 seconds into the third period and evened the game at 2-2 after set-ups from Martin Necas and Shayne Gostisbehere. However, the Hurricanes couldn't complete the comeback after allowing two more goals in the final 10 minutes of the game. Svechnikov has seven goals this season and five of those have come on the power play, including the last two in his prior three appearances.

Svechnikov scored his sixth goal of the season on the power play in Sunday's 4-1 win over St. Louis. Svechnikov tied the score at 1-1 in the opening frame after depositing a feed on the power play from Martin Necas. Svechnikov also had a team-high five shots on goal in 17:46 of ice time. The 24-year-old left-shot winger has been extremely consistent through the early portion of the season -- he's been held off the scoresheet only four times through 17 contests. Svechnikov ranks second on the team in points with six goals and 10 assists. He has yet to produce a point-per-game campaign in his seven-year NHL career, but he's flirting with that pace this season.

Svechnikov notched a power-play assist, two shots on goal and four hits in Saturday's 4-0 win over the Senators. Svechnikov had back-to-back scoreless outings entering Saturday, but that came after an eight-game point streak. He was back on the scoresheet when he helped out on a third-period Jackson Blake tally. Svechnikov has been good so far in a top-six role, racking up five goals, 10 assists, 57 shots on net, 28 hits, 16 PIM and a minus-3 rating over 16 appearances.
