Krebs scored a goal on two shots in Monday's 7-5 loss to the Canadiens. Krebs has two points over his last three games, but offense is likely to remain sporadic for him as long as he's on the fourth line. The 23-year-old center is up to five points, 10 shots on net, 25 hits and 13 PIM over 15 appearances. Krebs could help in deep fantasy formats that reward his physical playing style.

Krebs scored a goal and added two PIM in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Stars. Krebs got a shot past Jake Oettinger at 12:21 of the second period. With a point in each of the last two games, Krebs appears to be getting a bit more comfortable with his fourth-line role. The 23-year-old has a total of three points, four shots on net, 14 hits and nine PIM over seven appearances, averaging 10:56 of ice time this season compared to 12:30 per game last year.

Krebs managed an assist, two hits and two PIM in Saturday's 4-2 win over the Blackhawks. Krebs has been confined to a fourth-line role this season. His helper came on linemate Beck Malenstyn's first-period tally. Through six appearances, Krebs has two assists, three shots on net, 14 hits and seven PIM. A first-round pick of Vegas in 2019, Krebs has rarely had a chance to play on a scoring line throughout his career. Saturday's outing marked the third time in six games that he's topped 10 minutes of ice time this season, and his usage is trending in the wrong direction after he averaged 12:30 per game in 2023-24.

Krebs inked a two-year, $2.9 million contract with Buffalo on Tuesday. Krebs is coming off a disappointing 2023-24 season in which he failed to reach the 20-point mark for just the first time in his three-year NHL career. The 23-year-old center needed to get a new deal done before the start of training camp after his entry-level contract expired July 1. Even with his contract in hand, the Calgary native may struggle to find consistent ice time following the offseason additions of Jason Zucker, Sam Lafferty and Ryan McLeod.

Krebs scored the game's first goal during Sunday's 4-1 win over the Flames. Krebs scored just his fourth goal of the season to snap a 29-game goal drought. The 23-year-old center hasn't taken the step forward many hoped would come this season. Sunday's goal was just his second point in the last eight games, a stretch in which he's put only five shots on goal. There aren't many signs that this will be a turning point in his season.
