  • Panthers' Carter Verhaeghe: Two-point effort against Bolts

Verhaeghe picked up a goal and an assist in Monday's 5-2 win over the Lightning.

After having a hand in what proved to be the game-winner by Brad Marchand midway through the second period, Verhaeghe found the back of the net himself in the third. Verhaeghe has five multi-point performances in his last 10 games, a sizzling stretch in which he's racked up eight goals and 16 points.

  • Sam Reinhart C | FLA

Panthers' Sam Reinhart: Shines on special teams in win

Reinhart scored two goals, one shorthanded and one on the power play, in Monday's 5-2 win over the Lightning.

It's the fourth time in his career Reinhart has found the back of the net while Florida's been both a man up and a man down, establishing a new franchise record. The veteran winger has been locked in for more than a month, getting onto the scoresheet in 14 of the last 17 games while piling up 10 goals and 24 points. Six of Reinhart's tallies during that heater have come on special teams -- four on the power play, and two shorthanded.

  • Matt Rempe C | NYR

Rangers' Matt Rempe: Gets physical in return to lineup

Rempe recorded one shot on net, five hits and a minus-1 rating in Monday's 4-1 loss to the Ducks.

Seeing his first action for the Rangers since Oct. 23 after recovering from an upper-body injury, Rempe wasted no time in getting physical. The rugged forward has just one point, a goal, in 10 games this season, but that comes with 35 hits and seven PIM. He knows his role.

  • Ducks' Ryan Poehling: Two helpers in Monday's win

Poehling picked up two assists, one shorthanded, in Monday's 4-1 win over the Rangers.

The checking-line center had a hand in the Ducks' first and last goals of the night, setting up Jackson LaCombe for a shortie in the second period before feeding Pavel Mintyukov in the third. It was Poehling's first multi-point performance of the season, and through 26 games he's managed a goal and nine points, which is short of his pace from 2024-25, when he produced a career-high 12 goals and 31 points in 68 contests.

  • Nick Cousins C | OTT

Senators' Nick Cousins: Pots opening goal Monday

Cousins scored a goal on two shots and dished out two hits in Monday's 3-2 overtime win over Winnipeg.

Cousins struck the back of the net midway through the second period to give the Senators an initial lead before their late comeback effort. With the twine finder, the 32-year-old forward has five goals, eight points, 23 shots on net and 64 hits through 31 games this season. While his offensive output is limited in a checking-line role, the 12-year NHL veteran is on pace to post his best point total since the 2022-23 campaign. However, he currently has a 21.7 shooting percentage, which ranks among the league's top 50 skaters. If he can begin to contribute to the offense more frequently, his hit totals give him added potential in fantasy leagues that value banger stats.

  • Max Sasson C | VAN

Canucks' Max Sasson: Extends stay in Vancouver

Sasson inked a two-year, $2 million contract extension with the Canucks on Monday.

Sasson will receive a slight bump in salary from his current $775,000 AAV. The 25-year-old's new deal is set to kick in next season and will keep him with Vancouver through the 2027-28 campaign. Sasson has accounted for six goals, eight points, 30 shots on net and a minus-2 rating across 29 appearances this season, mostly in a bottom-six capacity.

  • Blues' Otto Stenberg: Receives first NHL call-up

Stenberg was recalled from AHL Springfield on Monday.

Stenberg will help cover for some of the Blues' injuries up front, as Dylan Holloway (ankle) joined a growing list of forwards on injured reserve Monday. The 20-year-old Stenberg was the No. 25 overall pick in 2023, and he has yet to make his NHL debut. The left-shot center has contributed three goals and eight points over 21 appearances with the Thunderbirds this season.

  • Penguins' Rickard Rakell: Earns helper in second game back

Rakell registered an assist, three hits, three blocked shots and a plus-2 rating in Sunday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Mammoth.

Rakell was playing in his second game after returning from a long-term hand injury. He's immediately slotted back into a top-six role with ice time in all situations, so fantasy managers shouldn't hesitate to activate him. He's earned nine points, 20 shots on net, 13 hits, 13 blocked shots and a plus-3 rating over 11 outings this season.

  • Will Smith C | SJ

Sharks' Will Smith: Surfaces on IR

Smith (undisclosed) was placed on injured reserve Monday, Curtis Pashelka of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

Smith sustained the injury in Saturday's 6-5 overtime win over Pittsburgh. He will miss at least the next three games, starting with Tuesday's matchup against Calgary. However, a timeline for his recovery remains unclear. Smith has accumulated 12 goals, 29 points and 80 shots on net across 33 appearances this season. William Eklund will probably receive an increased role due to Smith's absence.

  • Sharks' Philipp Kurashev: Shifts to IR

Kurashev (upper body) was designated for injured reserve Monday, Curtis Pashelka of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

Kurashev is mired in a 12-game goal drought, during which he has recorded three assists, 11 shots on net and 13 hits while averaging 13:59 of ice time. The forward injuries are starting to pile up for the Sharks, as Will Smith (undisclosed) was also placed on injured reserve Monday, joining Michael Misa (ankle). William Eklund and Collin Graf should both see more ice time while Kurashev is on the shelf.
