Panthers' Eetu Luostarinen: Nets goal in Wednesday's win
Luostarinen scored a goal, added six PIM and logged three hits in Wednesday's 5-4 shootout win over the Bruins.
Luostarinen opened the scoring 4:22 into the game. This was his second goal in the last three contests. The 27-year-old forward is up to seven goals, 24 points, 75 shots on net, 98 hits, 38 blocked shots, 22 PIM and a plus-2 rating over 48 appearances. He's matched his point total from 80 regular-season outings last year, and he's on pace to reach the 30-point mark for just the second time in his career.

Sean Monahan C | CLB
Blue Jackets' Sean Monahan: Fills empty cage
Monahan scored an empty-net goal on four shots and added two PIM in Wednesday's 4-0 win over the Blackhawks.
Monahan has four goals and an assist over his last eight games, giving him a little momentum that he'll try to pick up after the Olympic break. The center is at 10 goals, 27 points, 87 shots on net and a plus-2 rating through 52 appearances this season. He should continue to see top-six minutes and power-play time after the break.

Oscar Fisker Molgaard C | SEA
Kraken's Oscar Fisker Molgaard: Loaned to Coachella Valley
Fisker Molgaard was reassigned to AHL Coachella Valley on Thursday.
Fisker Molgaard was recalled Wednesday and had no stats in 6:42 of action against the Kings. He has one assist in three NHL games this season. Fisker Molgaard had seven goals and 22 points in 36 AHL appearances before his recall.

Rickard Rakell C | PIT
Penguins' Rickard Rakell: Not available Thursday
Rakell (lower body) has been ruled out of Thursday's clash in Buffalo, Josh Yohe of The Athletic reports.
Rakell was injured during the morning skate. Rakell has 10 goals and 24 points across 35 games this season. Look for Rutger McGroarty to enter the lineup with Rakell on the shelf.

Noel Acciari C | PIT
Penguins' Noel Acciari: Dealing with illness
Acciari is considered a game-time decision for Thursday's matchup against the Sabres due to an illness, Penguins play-by-play announcer Josh Getzoff reports.
Acciari hasn't missed a game since early December, but he's a question mark for the Penguins' final game before the Olympic break due to his illness. Even if he's sidelined against Buffalo, it wouldn't be surprising to see him return to action when Pittsburgh resumes play against the Devils on Feb. 26.

Calum Ritchie C | NYI
Islanders' Calum Ritchie: Cleared to play Thursday
Ritchie (lower body) will return to the lineup Thursday in New Jersey, Stefen Rosner of NHL.com reports.
It was thought that the Islanders would sit Ritchie one more game in order to give him the extra time off during the Olympic break, but Ritchie is expected to see second-line time between Emil Heineman and Jonathan Drouin, as well as first-unit power-play time. Ritchie had seven goals and 15 points in 40 games prior to missing six games with his injury.

Dylan Larkin C | DET
Red Wings' Dylan Larkin: Nets power-play goal Wednesday
Larkin scored a power-play goal, placed two shots on net, served two PIM and dished out three hits in Wednesday's 4-1 loss to Utah.
Larkin tallied the lone goal of the game on a power play for Detroit with less than five minutes remaining in the contest. Overall, the 29-year-old center is up to 26 goals, 51 points, 169 shots on net, 32 hits and 29 blocked shots across 58 games this season. Wednesday's goal was his fifth since Jan. 5, a span in which he has 13 points and 47 shots on net across 15 contests. After competing for Team USA at the 2026 Winter Olympics, he'll look to stay on track for another 70-plus-point campaign.

Nick Schmaltz C | UTA
Mammoth's Nick Schmaltz: One of each in big win
Schmaltz scored a power-play goal, distributed an assist and fired six shots on net in Wednesday's 4-1 win over the Red Wings.
With the pair of points, Schmaltz is up to 23 goals, 30 assists, 137 shots on net and 35 blocked shots across 57 games this season. The 29-year-old forward is on pace for a career year and is just 11 points shy of surpassing the 63 points he compiled across 82 games a season ago. The natural winger has done this all from Utah's top-line center role due to the absence of Logan Cooley (lower body). Schmaltz will have the chance to rest during the Olympic break, which should prepare him to pick up where he left off in fantasy once the Mammoth are back in action.
