Morgan Frost C | CGY
Flames' Morgan Frost: Nets opening goal Monday
Frost scored a goal and recorded three shots on net in Monday's 5-2 loss to Detroit.
Frost scored the lone goal of Tuesday's opening period, giving the Flames brief momentum headed into the first intermission. With the twine finder, he is up to 15 goals, 33 points, 112 shots on net, 42 hits and 32 blocked shots across 67 games this season. Since the beginning of March, the 26-year-old center has three goals and six points over nine games. He's seen an uptick in playing time following the departure of Nazem Kadri to Colorado at the trade deadline, and Frost has made the most of his increased role. He should continue to skate as the team's No. 2 center for the time being and holds decent all-around value in deep fantasy leagues that value category coverage.

Leon Draisaitl C | EDM
Oilers' Leon Draisaitl: Won't suit up against San Jose
Draisaitl (lower body) isn't available for Tuesday's home matchup against the Sharks.
The Oilers have yet to offer a timeline for Draisaitl's return, but head coach Kris Knoblauch said Monday that the team doesn't want to aggravate or make the German forward's injury worse. The 30-year-old will continue to be evaluated in the coming days, but at this point, it seems less likely Draisaitl will be available for Thursday's matchup versus Florida as well. Jason Dickinson is expected to slot in as the second-line center while Draisaitl is sidelined.

Emmitt Finnie C | DET
Red Wings' Emmitt Finnie: Finds twine in win
Finnie tallied a goal, recorded two shots on net and dished out three hits in Monday's 5-2 win over the Flames.
Finnie put the Red Wings up 2-1 early in the second period, finding the back of the net for the first time since Mar. 4. Overall, the 20-year-old winger is up to 12 goals, 26 points, 104 shots on net, 107 hits and 36 blocked shots across 68 games this season. In the absence of Dylan Larkin (leg) and Andrew Copp (leg), Finnie has stepped up as the team's No. 2 center with five points, 14 shots on net, 16 hits and five blocked shots over his last eight games. His all-around play style makes him a solid streaming option in category-based fantasy leagues while Detroit remains thin at the center position.

Quinton Byfield C | LA
Kings' Quinton Byfield: Two helpers in Monday's win
Byfield picked up two assists, one on the power play, in Monday's 4-1 win over the Rangers.
The 23-year-old center also added three shots on net, two hits, two PIM and a plus-2 rating to his ledger. The points were Byfield's first in six games since he missed the first couple contests in March due to an upper-body injury, and on the season, he's managed 13 goals, 35 points, 138 shots on net, 51 hits, 40 PIM, 36 blocked shots and a minus-9 rating through 64 games.

Paul Cotter C | NJ
Devils' Paul Cotter: OT hero in two-goal night
Cotter scored two goals, one the overtime winner, in Monday's 4-3 victory over the Bruins.
The 26-year-old produced his first multi-goal performance in over a calendar year, converting a slick feed from Maxim Tsyplakov early in the third period before beating Joonas Korpisalo on a breakaway with just seven seconds left in OT. Cotter also dished three hits in the game, and that's his more usual contribution in the box score -- through 64 games this season, he sits just outside the top 20 in the NHL with 171 hits, adding eight goals, 13 points, 54 shots on net and a minus-17 rating while mainly skating in a bottom-six role.

Jack Hughes C | NJ
Devils' Jack Hughes: Three helpers against Bruins
Hughes notched three assists in Monday's 4-3 overtime win over Boston.
After helping to set up second-period tallies by Connor Brown and Jesper Bratt, Hughes was the one who got the puck to Paul Cotter for a game-winning breakaway in OT. Hughes is still riding the momentum from his Golden Goal at the Olympics, recording multiple points in four of seven games in March while compiling five goals and 12 points so far this month.

Ross Colton C | COL
Avalanche's Ross Colton: Sidelined for Monday's game
Colton (upper body) will miss Monday's home game against the Penguins, per the NHL Media Site.
Colton is slated to miss his third straight game after sustaining an upper-body injury against the Oilers on Tuesday. His absence is a notable one for the Avalanche's offense, as the 29-year-old winger has 23 points and 137 shots on net across 60 contests this season. Until further updates are provided, Colton can be considered day-to-day, making his next chance to return Wednesday in a home matchup against the Stars.

Kevin Stenlund C | UTA
Mammoth's Kevin Stenlund: Not an option in Dallas
Stenlund isn't available for Monday's game in Dallas and is day-to-day.
This will be Stenlund's second missed game of the season. The Swedish center will be replaced in the lineup by Brandon Tanev on Monday. Stenlund will now have a few days to attempt to be ready for the first half of Utah's back-to-back, which is in Vegas on Thursday.

Alex Newhook C | MON
Canadiens' Alex Newhook: Finds twine Sunday
Newhook scored a goal in Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Ducks.
Newhook got the Canadiens on the board at 1:33 of the second period. The forward has picked up where he left off after a lengthy absence due to an ankle injury, earning three goals and four assists over nine contests since his return following the Olympic break. The 25-year-old is up to nine goals, 19 points, 34 shots on net, 35 hits and a plus-9 rating over 26 appearances.

Zack Ostapchuk C | SJ
Sharks' Zack Ostapchuk: Little offense since break
Ostapchuk has earned one assist over 10 games since the Olympic break after being held scoreless in Sunday's 7-4 loss to the Senators.
Ostapchuk has played in every game since the break, filling a fourth-line role. He's at five points, 101 hits, 30 shots on net, 17 PIM and a minus-9 rating over 42 appearances. The 22-year-old was a second-round pick in 2021, so there's still potential for him to grow into a middle-six center at some point, but the Sharks have enough prospect depth to make that an uphill battle for him.
