Thompson scored a goal Saturday in a 5-0 win over the Islanders.

Thompson is on a modest three-game, three-point (two goals, one assist) scoring streak, and he has 21 points (nine goals, 12 assists) and 51 shots in 15 games since the December break. One goal and five of the assists in that span have come on the power play. At his current scoring pace, Thompson will record his third 40-plus goal season in his last four.

  • Liam Foudy C | NYI

Islanders' Liam Foudy: Nets pair for Bridgeport

Foudy scored twice in AHL Bridgeport's 4-3 shootout loss to Providence on Saturday.

Foudy is surging with seven goals and two assists during a seven-game point streak. That puts him at 13 goals and 21 points in 28 appearances this season. Eight of those goals have come in January, but it's unclear if his recent success will lead to a call-up.

  • Jack Finley C | STL

Lightning's Jack Finley: Dealing with illness

Finley is battling an illness, which is why he won't play Saturday in Columbus.

Although Finley exited Friday's 2-1 shootout win due to an undisclosed injury, it seems that's not the reason he's unavailable versus the Blue Jackets. Max Crozier is also on the shelf because of an illness. Jakob Pelletier and Simon Lundmark are set to draw into the lineup Saturday.

  • Jack Finley C | STL

    Lightning's Jack Finley: Unavailable Saturday

Finley (undisclosed) won't play against Columbus on Saturday, Mark Scheig of The Hockey Writers reports.

Finley will miss at least one game after getting hurt in Friday's 2-1 shootout win over Chicago. He has chipped in two goals, one assist, 10 shots on net and 31 hits in 18 games this season. Jakob Pelletier will replace Finley in Saturday's lineup.

  • Martin Necas C | COL

Avalanche's Martin Necas: Adds pair of assists

Necas recorded two assists, nine shots on net and three hits in Friday's 7-3 loss to the Flyers.

Necas has three goals and six helpers over his last seven games. The 27-year-old is still racking up offense even as the Avalanche have faltered a bit over the last few weeks. Necas has 62 points (22 goals, 40 assists), 119 shots on net, 53 hits, 26 PIM and a plus-40 rating across 49 appearances.

  • Avalanche's Nathan MacKinnon: Logs pair of assists

MacKinnon registered two assists and two PIM in Friday's 7-3 loss to the Flyers.

MacKinnon has four multi-point efforts over his last seven games, racking up three goals and 10 assists in that span. The superstar center is up to 87 points (38 goals, 49 helpers) through 49 outings this season. He's added 226 shots on net, 43 hits, 26 blocked shots and a plus-47 rating. The Avalanche have faced their first adversity of the season during a 4-4-2 stretch, but MacKinnon keeps humming along.

  • Capitals' Hendrix Lapierre: Nets rare goal

Lapierre scored a goal on three shots and added two PIM in Friday's 3-1 win over the Flames.

This was Lapierre's first NHL goal since April 28, 2024 in the playoffs versus the Rangers. His last regular-season goal was March 18, which also came against the Flames. The 23-year-old's development has somewhat stalled out -- he had 22 points in 51 contests in 2023-24, but he has just 15 points over his last 76 outings. This season, he's at a goal, six assists, 37 shots on net, 27 hits and a plus-1 rating in 49 appearances, mainly in a fourth-line role.

  • Maple Leafs' Scott Laughton: Pots goal Friday

Laughton scored a goal, added two hits and logged two PIM in Friday's 6-3 loss to the Golden Knights.

Laughton has three goals over his last five games. Despite his tally Friday, the 31-year-old center saw just 9:28 of ice time, his second-lowest mark in a game all season. He's up to eight goals, two assists, 40 shots on net, 58 hits, 25 blocked shots and a plus-1 rating over 33 outings while filling a fourth-line role.

  • Bobby McMann C | SEA

Maple Leafs' Bobby McMann: Lights lamp in loss

McMann scored a goal on four shots in Friday's 6-3 loss to the Golden Knights.

McMann continues to chip in occasional offense regardless of his place in the lineup. He was on the top line Friday, logging 17:19 of ice time. He has four goals over his last 10 outings, though he doesn't have an assist in that span. The 29-year-old forward has produced 16 goals, 26 points, 100 shots, 109 hits, 30 PIM and a plus-3 rating through 50 contests this season.

  • John Tavares C | TOR

Maple Leafs' John Tavares: Puts away goal Friday

Tavares scored a goal on three shots in Friday's 6-3 loss to the Golden Knights.

Tavares got Toronto on the board just 13 seconds into the second period. The center has four goals and three assists over his last 10 outings, which is decent production that matches his second-line role. For the season, he's earned 19 goals, 44 points, 129 shots on net, 45 hits and a minus-10 rating across 51 appearances.
