  • Red Wings' Emmitt Finnie: Notches two helpers on home ice

Finnie logged two secondary assists, including one on the power play, in Sunday's 3-2 overtime win over Washington.

Finnie helped out on Lucas Raymond's power-play goal in the second period, and he also assisted on Moritz Seider's game-winner in overtime. Finnie had gone eight games without registering an assist, but he had three goals on 17 shots during that stretch. Through 37 outings this season, the 20-year-old has eight goals, 18 points and a plus-3 rating while averaging 16:48 of ice time in a top-six role.

  • Predators' Jonathan Marchessault: Remains sidelined

Marchessault (lower body) isn't available for Sunday's home matchup versus the Rangers, per Nick Kieser of Lower Broad Hockey.

Marchessault also sat out Saturday's 5-3 win over Toronto. The right-shot winger is considered day-to-day at this time. His next chance to suit up will be in Minnesota on Tuesday.

  • Matt Rempe C | NYR

Rangers' Matt Rempe: Won't play Sunday

Rempe has been ruled out for Sunday's game against Nashville due to an illness.

Rempe returned from an upper-body injury this week, but he'll be a late scratch for Sunday's matchup due to his illness. He should tentatively be considered day-to-day, and his next opportunity to suit up before the holiday break will be Tuesday against Washington.

  • Tyson Kozak C | BUF

Sabres' Tyson Kozak: Remains out for Sunday's game

Kozak (upper body) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Devils, Mike Morreale of NHL.com reports.

Kozak was unavailable for Saturday's matchup against the Islanders due to his upper-body injury, and he'll remain sidelined for the second half of the back-to-back set Sunday. It's not yet clear when he'll be able to return, but his final opportunity to suit up before the holiday break will be Tuesday against Ottawa.

  • J.T. Miller C | NYR

    Rangers' J.T. Miller: Deemed week-to-week

Miller (upper body) is week-to-week, according to Mollie Walker of the New York Post on Sunday.

Miller's injury reportedly won't impact his availability for the 2026 Winter Olympics in February. However, an exact timeline for his return remains unclear after he left Saturday's 5-4 shootout win over Philadelphia in the third period. He has accumulated 10 goals, 22 points, 77 shots on net and 74 hits through 35 appearances this season.

  • Ben Jones C | MIN

Wild's Ben Jones: Called up to NHL

Jones has been recalled from AHL Iowa by the Wild, the team announced Sunday.

Jones was sent back to AHL Iowa on Friday but is quickly returning to the NHL club ahead of Sunday's contest against the Avalanche. Injuries to the Wild's forwards throughout the season have allowed him to spend more time in the NHL lineup than in the AHL this season, but he is still seeking his first career NHL point. The 26-year-old likely won't draw into the lineup Sunday, barring some unexpected injury news for the Wild.

  • Owen Beck C | MON

Canadiens' Owen Beck: Finally gets first NHL goal

Beck scored a goal on two shots and added three hits in Saturday's 4-0 win over the Penguins.

Beck had looked to have a goal a few times already, but overturned calls and scoring changes had denied him until Saturday. The 21-year-old struck at 18:49 of the first period to give the Canadiens a 2-0 lead. The goal was his first in 21 NHL appearances, eight of which have come this season. He's added eight shots on net, 15 hits, five blocked shots and a plus-3 rating this year, and he may stick in the lineup until Phillip Danault (illness) links up with the team in Boston on Tuesday.

  • Blues' Otto Stenberg: Earns first two helpers

Stenberg notched two assists and went plus-2 in Saturday's 6-2 win over the Panthers.

Stenberg was held off the scoresheet in his first two NHL games, but he was able to get in on the fun as the Blues' offense erupted in this contest. The helpers were his first two points to go with four hits and two blocked shots so far. Stenberg is seeing time on the second line at even strength, but he'll have to work his way into a power-play role to have more widespread fantasy appeal.

  • Peyton Krebs C | BUF

Sabres' Peyton Krebs: Reaches double-digit assists

Krebs recorded an assist, blocked a shot and dished out three hits in Saturday's 3-2 shootout win over the Islanders.

Krebs played a hand in Tage Thompson's goal midway through the second period, which gave the Sabres a 2-0 lead. With the apple, Krebs is up to 10 assists, 39 shots on goal, 84 hits and 20 blocks through 34 outings this season. While he is yet to score a goal this season, the 24-year-old forward has three helpers in his last six outings. With Jason Zucker (lower body) likely out until after Christmas Day, Krebs has moved up to the Sabres' top line and should see heightened usage in the interim. While he lacks the high-end scoring potential of other Buffalo forwards, his category coverage of 84 hits, which ranks second on the team, gives him decent streaming value in deep fantasy formats for the time being.

  • Oilers' Connor McDavid: Keeps streak going with PPG

McDavid scored a power-play goal on six shots, added three hits and went minus-2 in Saturday's 5-2 loss to the Wild.

McDavid's tally tied the game at 2-2 late in the first period, though Ryan Hartman answered before the intermission to restore the Wild's lead. The goal extended McDavid's point streak to nine games (11 goals, 12 assists, 11 power-play points), and it was just the second time during that run he's been limited to a single point. For the season, he's at 22 goals, 59 points (25 on the power play), 117 shots on net and a minus-1 rating over 36 appearances. A healthy full season out of McDavid would likely see him exceed 120 points.
