  • Avalanche's Nathan MacKinnon: Nets two goals in victory

MacKinnon scored twice in a 3-2 overtime win over the Rangers on Saturday.

MacKinnon's second goal of the game was the winner in overtime -- he went wide to the boards and cut aggressively back through the Rangers' defense before deking to his backhand and roofing it past Igor Shesterkin. It was MacKinnon's league-leading 24th goal. He has 10 goals and 15 points in his last nine games, and he leads the NHL with 48 points through 28 contests.

  • Jordan Kyrou C | STL

Blues' Jordan Kyrou: Suffers lower-body injury

Kyrou won't return to Saturday's game against Ottawa because of a lower-body injury.

Kyrou sustained the injury early in the first period when he was hit along the boards by Ottawa's Stephen Halliday. Kyrou entered Saturday's action with eight goals and 16 points in 27 outings this season. If he can't play Sunday in Montreal, then Matt Luff will probably draw into the lineup.

  • Blackhawks' Teuvo Teravainen: Won't play Saturday

Teravainen (teeth) won't play Saturday versus the Kings, Ben Pope of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Teravainen will have to miss a game after sustaining some dental damage in Thursday's contest against the Kings. The 31-year-old's absence will open the door for at least one of Landon Slaggert or Sam Lafferty, or possibly both if the Blackhawks deviate from the seven-defensemen lineups they've been using most of the year.

  • Flyers' Jett Luchanko: Two tallies with new team

Luchanko scored twice in OHL Brantford's 7-2 win over North Bay on Saturday.

These were Luchankos' first two goals with the Bulldogs after getting traded from Guelph. He's collected five points over five games since the move. Luchanko won't be relied upon as much because Brantford has a star-studded lineup. However, he will likely remain productive, which should help him maintain his standing in the Flyers' development pipeline.

  • Adam Benak C | MIN

Wild's Adam Benak: Three-point effort Saturday

Benak scored a goal and added two assists in OHL Brantford's 7-2 win over North Bay on Saturday.

Benak has five points over his last five outings, though he's been held scoreless in three of those games. It's a little speed bump for one of the Bulldogs' top players this year, but it's nothing to be concerned about in the long run. He's at 15 goals, 43 points and a plus-20 rating over 26 appearances this season and looks to be developing well after being a fourth-round pick for the Wild back in June.

  • Logan Cooley C | UTA

Mammoth's Logan Cooley: Late scratch Saturday

Cooley is a late scratch for Saturday's clash in Calgary because of a lower-body injury.

Cooley will undergo further evaluation when the team returns to Utah after Saturday's action. The Mammoth host the Kings on Monday, and an update on the 21-year-old center should arrive before that contest. He has 14 goals and 23 points in 29 outings in 2025-26. Barrett Hayton will draw back in against the Flames on Saturday after being a healthy scratch for the last two games due to Cooley's absence.

  • Avalanche's Gavin Brindley: Shifts to IR

Brindley (lower body) was moved to injured reserve Saturday, per the NHL media site.

Brindley has missed the last eight games, including Saturday's 3-2 overtime win over the Rangers. He is with the Avalanche for the team's road trip, which has two contests remaining, but it's unclear when he will be ready to return to the lineup. Brindley has provided four goals, seven points, 22 shots on net and 19 hits in 18 outings this season.

  • Avalanche's Tristen Nielsen: Dropped to AHL

Nielsen was loaned to AHL Colorado on Saturday.

Nielsen was a healthy scratch in two straight games at the NHL level, including Saturday's 3-2 overtime win over the Rangers. He has 10 goals and 15 points in 18 minor-league appearances this season.

  • Hurricanes' Jesperi Kotkaniemi: Removed from IR

Kotkaniemi (ankle) was activated from injured reserve Saturday, per the NHL media site.

After missing the last nine games, Kotkaniemi should be available to return to action against Nashville on Saturday. He has registered two goals, five points, 17 shots on net, 11 blocked shots and 26 hits across 15 appearances this season.

  • Panthers' Eetu Luostarinen: Ready to rock

Luostarinen (lower body) will return to the lineup versus Columbus on Saturday, George Richards of Florida Hockey Now reports.

Luostarinen missed eight games after a freak BBQ accident last month. Luostarinen had three goals and 10 points in 18 games before his injury. Luostarinen is slated to play alongside Anton Lundell and Sam Reinhart on the top line Saturday.
