  • Leo Carlsson C | ANA

Ducks' Leo Carlsson: Stays on sizzle in overtime win

Carlsson scored two goals on five shots, added an assist, logged two PIM and went plus-2 in Saturday's 4-3 overtime win over the Golden Knights.

Carlsson has rattled off three straight multi-point efforts, and his point streak is up to nine games in total. He tallied twice in the second period Saturday before setting up Jacob Trouba's game-winner at 4:28 of overtime. Carlsson is now at eight goals, 23 points, 34 shots on net, 19 PIM and a plus-11 rating through 14 appearances. He's one point back of the NHL lead in points and has played fewer games than the two players in front of him, Nathan MacKinnon and Macklin Celebrini. As long as the Ducks keep piling up goals, expect Carlsson to be heavily involved.

  • Oilers' Connor McDavid: Nets lone goal in loss

McDavid scored a power-play goal on four shots, added two PIM and went minus-3 in Saturday's 9-1 loss to the Avalanche.

If this was a measuring-stick game for McDavid and the Oilers, they came up vastly short of Nathan MacKinnon and the Avalanche. McDavid's goal prevented a shutout and gave him two goals and six helpers over his last four games, but that won't satisfy him amid the Oilers' three-game losing streak. For the season, the 28-year-old superstar has five goals, 22 points, 45 shots on net and a minus-3 rating over 16 appearances.

  • Avalanche's Zakhar Bardakov: Logs first two-point game

Bardakov had two assists and a plus-2 rating in Saturday's 9-1 win over the Oilers.

This was Bardakov's first multi-point effort in the NHL. The 24-year-old helped out on goals by linemates Gavin Brindley and Parker Kelly during the second period. Through 10 appearances, Bardakov has four points, seven shots on net, 10 hits and a plus-3 rating, though he's averaging just over six minutes of ice time per game. Until his usage increases, it'll be tough for the Russian to provide any consistency on offense.

  • Ross Colton C | COL

Avalanche's Ross Colton: Earns two helpers Saturday

Colton logged two assists, three shots on goal and a plus-2 rating in Saturday's 9-1 win over the Oilers.

Colton helped out on third-period tallies by Nathan MacKinnon and Jack Drury. Colton earned his first multi-point effort of the season. The 29-year-old forward is firmly in a middle-six role for the Avalanche, and he's at two goals, six helpers, 29 shots on net, 36 hits and a plus-1 rating over 15 appearances. He does just enough on offense to be an option in deep fantasy formats.

  • Avalanche's Gavin Brindley: Goal, assist in return

Brindley scored a goal on two shots, logged an assist, added two PIM and went plus-2 in Saturday's 9-1 win over the Oilers.

Brindley returned from a concussion that cost him two games, and he retook his spot on the fourth line. The 21-year-old is still seeing fairly limited usage, though he occasionally gets some power-play time. He's at four points, 14 shots, 12 hits and an even plus-minus rating over 13 appearances. Brindley's fantasy appeal will be limited this year unless he can work his way into a middle-six role.

  • Jack Drury C | COL

Avalanche's Jack Drury: Nets two goals

Drury scored twice on four shots and went plus-3 in Saturday's 9-1 win over the Oilers.

The Avalanche got contributions from all over the lineup, including Drury's two tallies. The 25-year-old has two goals and three helpers over his last five outings. That's a good scoring pace, but it's more likely a product of the Avalanche's strong offense than it is Drury taking a significant step forward on his own. He has three goals, seven points, 23 shots on net, 14 blocked shots and a plus-2 rating over 15 appearances in a third-line role this season, filling a primarily defensive role.

  • Bruins' Fraser Minten: Five points in last seven games

Minten scored a goal Saturday in a 5-3 win over Toronto.

He cashed in a 2-on-1 late in the third period by getting a shot past a sprawling Dennis Hildeby. Minten has five points (two goals, three assists) in his last seven games. The former Leaf has settled in as the Bruins' third-line center, and he's responding offensively so far.

  • Avalanche's Nathan MacKinnon: Rattles off four points Saturday

MacKinnon scored twice on six shots, added two assists, logged two PIM and went plus-4 in Saturday's 9-1 win over the Oilers.

MacKinnon's massive game moved him into a tie for first place in both goals (12, with Cole Caufield) and points (24, with Macklin Celebrini) this season. That positions MacKinnon as arguably the most well-rounded superstar through the first month of the campaign. The 30-year-old has added 67 shots on net, 14 hits, nine blocked shots, 10 PIM and a plus-13 rating. Fantasy managers who were able to draft high enough to secure MacKinnon's services this year are reaping immense rewards, as he looks poised to challenge for his second 50-goal campaign as well as over 100 points.

  • Blue Jackets' Adam Fantilli: Clicks with new linemates

Fantilli posted two assists, five shots on net and two blocked shots in Saturday's 4-3 loss to the Canucks.

Fantilli was between Kirill Marchenko and Dmitri Voronkov for this contest. Sean Monahan had been in that spot, but he moved down to the second line in his return from an undisclosed injury. Fantilli has three helpers over his last three games and is trying to spark some consistency in his offense. The 21-year-old center is at two goals, six helpers, 33 shots on net, 18 hits, eight blocked shots and a minus-5 rating through 14 appearances.

  • Bruins' Morgan Geekie: Among leaders in goals

Geekie had a goal and an assist in Saturday's 5-3 win over the Maple Leafs.

Geekie scored his 11th goal of the season early in the first period when he fanned on his first shot, recovered the puck and wired it past Anthony Stolarz's outstretched left leg. He has four points (two goals, two assists) on his current three-game point streak. Geekie leads the Bruins in goals and sits second in team scoring with 15 points. He is tied for the second-most goals in the league.
