  • Rangers' Mika Zibanejad: Nets power-play goal

Zibanejad scored a power-play goal and added an even-strength assist in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Canadiens.

Zibanejad snapped his three-game point drought in style, scoring the Rangers' first goal with a slap shot on the power play at the 11:56 mark of the first period and later assisting on Artemi Panarin's game-winning goal in the third. Zibanejad is one of several New York forwards enduring a slow start to the season, though. This was his first multi-point effort of the campaign, and he has only three points (two goals, one assist) in seven contests.

  • Rory Kerins C | CGY

Flames' Rory Kerins: Pots pair for AHL club

Kerins scored twice in AHL Calgary's 5-4 overtime loss to Tucson on Saturday.

Kerins has started the season with four points over three contests for the Wranglers. The Flames are struggling to score at the NHL level, and if Kerins keeps up his hot start, he could be in line for a call-up to replace an unproductive forward. The 23-year-old had 61 points in 63 regular-season AHL outings last year while adding four assists in five NHL appearances.

  • Canadiens' Lucas Condotta: Earns two points for Rocket

Condotta scored a goal on three shots and added an assist in AHL Laval's 5-2 win over Abbotsford on Saturday.

Condotta is captaining the Rocket this year, which speaks to his status as a minor-league veteran. He's on a two-way deal with the Canadiens and could be a candidate for a call-up if they want to add experience at the NHL level, though younger players like Joshua Roy or Filip Mesar offer more upside. Condotta's two-point effort Saturday was his first scoring performance of the season.

  • Blue Jackets' Charlie Coyle: Nabs helper in win

Coyle produced an assist in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Lightning.

Coyle has two helpers through his first five games with the Blue Jackets. The 33-year-old center has settled in on the third line and second power-play unit, and he could be a decent source of depth scoring throughout the campaign. He's also earned six shots on net, nine hits and a minus-1 rating so far, giving him appeal for modest category coverage.

  • Blue Jackets' Mathieu Olivier: Assist, fight in win

Olivier notched an assist, two hits, four blocked shots and seven PIM in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Lightning.

Olivier mixed it up with Curtis Douglas in a first-period bout, then set up Damon Severson's game-tying goal in the middle frame. The helper was Olivier's first point in five games this year. The 28-year-old has added 14 hits, eight blocks, seven PIM and an even plus-minus rating while playing in a third-line role. He broke out with 18 goals and 32 points in 82 regular-season contests last year, but he also shot 16.2 percent in 2024-25, a number that's almost certain to come down significantly in 2025-26.

  • Flames' Jonathan Huberdeau: Scores in season debut

Huberdeau scored a power-play goal on three shots in Saturday's 6-1 loss to the Golden Knights.

Huberdeau tallied to tie the game at 1-1 just 3:42 into the first period, but Tomas Hertl scored less than two minutes later to put Vegas ahead for good. Huberdeau made his season debut after missing the first five contests due to an undisclosed injury. The Flames will have to hope the 32-year-old can ignite the team's offense, which ranks worst in the NHL with just 10 goals in six games. His top-six role and power-play usage make Huberdeau a decent fantasy option on paper, but if he slips into the team's scoring malaise, he may be better off on the waiver wire.

  • Jack Eichel C | LV

Golden Knights' Jack Eichel: Dishes four assists in win

Eichel notched four assists, including three on the power play, in Saturday's 6-1 win over the Flames.

Eichel continues to lead the NHL in points -- he now has 15 in just six games after his second four-point effort of the season. Of his 10 assists, eight have been on the power play, but he's still looking for his first goal with the man advantage. Vegas isn't hurting in that area, though, converting nine of its 24 power-play opportunities so far for a 37.5 percent success rate, second only to Minnesota. Eichel is making the most of his talent this year and has already returned excellent value for his fantasy managers.

  • Tomas Hertl C | LV

Golden Knights' Tomas Hertl: Makes impact on power play

Hertl scored a goal and added an assist, both on the power play, in Saturday's 6-1 win over the Flames.

Hertl has scored in three straight games, earning five of his six points on the year in that span. He's playing on the first power-play unit, which has been a massive stretch for Vegas early in the year, as well as the second line. Hertl has three goals, three helpers, 15 shots on net, nine hits and a plus-2 rating through six appearances.

  • Penguins' Evgeni Malkin: Goal, assist in Saturday's win

Malkin scored an empty-net goal, dished an assist and went plus-2 in Saturday's 3-0 win over the Sharks.

Malkin has scored in back-to-back games and has multiple points in three of six outings this season. He helped out on an Anthony Mantha goal earlier in the third period before scoring his empty-netter in the final minute. Malkin has two goals, seven helpers, 12 shots on net, three hits and a plus-1 rating to begin 2025-26. He'll likely have some ups and downs throughout the campaign, but he's worth rostering in fantasy as long as his offense stays up.

  • Penguins' Sidney Crosby: One of each in win

Crosby scored a goal, dished an assist, added two PIM and went plus-2 in Saturday's 3-0 win over the Sharks.

Crosby opened the scoring with a tip-in goal at 7:35 of the second period. He also set up Evgeni Malkin's empty-netter in the third. With three multi-point efforts in six games, Crosby is not slowing down in his age-38 campaign. He has three goals, four assists, nine shots on net, eight PIM, a plus-1 rating, five hits and three blocked shots to begin the year.
