Christian Dvorak C | PHI
Flyers' Christian Dvorak: Lights lamp with empty-netter
Dvorak scored an empty-net goal on three shots and blocked two shots in Monday's 5-2 win over the Panthers.
Dvorak picked up his first point as a Flyer late in the third period. He's added five shots on net, two hits, three blocked shots and four PIM over three contests. The 29-year-old averaged just 15:15 of ice time during a 33-point regular season in Montreal last year, but he's up to 17:29 per game to begin his tenure in Philadelphia, suggesting he'll be a larger part of his new team's overall game plan.

Jack Hughes C | NJ
Devils' Jack Hughes: Supplies power-play helper
Hughes logged a power-play assist, two blocked shots and a minus-2 rating in Monday's 3-2 win over the Blue Jackets.
Hughes has a pair of helpers, eight shots on net and a minus-2 rating through three games on the year. A slow start is not too unusual -- Hughes' 2024-25 campaign ended with shoulder surgery, though he was healthy by the start of training camp and worked without limitations. He's scored at least 26 goals in four straight years despite missing at least 20 games in three of those seasons, so the 24-year-old center should continue to offer high-end offense.

Gustav Nyquist RW | WPG
Jets' Gustav Nyquist: Nabs first point with new team
Nyquist notched a power-play assist, two shots on goal and three blocked shots in Monday's 5-2 win over the Islanders.
The helper was Nyquist's first point in three games as a member of the Jets. The 36-year-old has occupied a third-line role so far but is also seeing power-play time, as the Jets have used both of their units pretty evenly. Nyquist also has five shots on net, three hits and four blocked shots, but in the long run, it'll be his scoring consistency that determines his fantasy value.

Ridly Greig C | OTT
Senators' Ridly Greig: Nets lone goal on power play
Greig scored a power-play goal on two shots in Monday's 4-1 loss to the Predators.
Greig has a goal, an assist and six shots on net through three games. His physicality has been a bit down to start 2025-26 -- he has just one hit after racking up 138 of them to go with 34 points over 78 regular-season appearances in 2024-25. Greig remains in a third-line role but is seeing an average of 17:04 of ice time so far, steady with last year's mark, so his offense should be fairly stable.

Steven Stamkos C | NSH
Predators' Steven Stamkos: Gets on scoresheet with helper
Stamkos provided an assist and two shots on goal in Monday's 4-1 win over the Senators.
A slow start to 2025-26 has seen Stamkos generate just one assist, six shots and six PIM over the first three games of the year. It's a red flag for fantasy managers after his poor start last season led to a four-year-low point total (53). Stamkos is still in a top-six role with ample power-play time, which bodes well for a bounce-back effort, but it's also possible the 35-year-old has entered his declining years and will no longer be an elite source of offense.

Ryan O'Reilly C | NSH
Predators' Ryan O'Reilly: Nets game-winner Monday
O'Reilly scored a goal in Monday's 4-1 win over the Senators.
Both of O'Reilly's goals this year have been game-winners, leading the Predators to their 2-0-1 start. In addition to the tallies, the veteran center has four shots on net, two hits and a plus-1 rating across three contests. He is poised to remain on Nashville's top line.

Mattias Janmark C | EDM
Oilers' Mattias Janmark: Targeting weekend return
Janmark (undisclosed) could be an option against either the Devils or Red Wings on Saturday or Sunday, respectively, Daniel Nugent-Bowman of The Athletic reports.
While the news officially rules Janmark out for at least two more games, he has a more concrete timeline to return. Once the veteran center is given the all-clear, he figures to slot into a bottom-six role, which could see Isaac Howard or David Tomasek headed to the minors.

Hunter Haight C | MIN
Wild's Hunter Haight: Drops to minors
Haight was reassigned to AHL Iowa on Tuesday.
Ben Jones was recalled from Iowa in a corresponding transaction. Haight accounted for two hits and a minus-2 rating while averaging 9:22 of ice time over two games with the big club this year. The 21-year-old will now have a chance to play a bigger role in the minors.
-
Steven Lorentz C | TOR
Maple Leafs' Steven Lorentz: Ruled out versus Preds
Lorentz (upper body) will not be in the lineup against Nashville on Tuesday, Luke Fox of Sportsnet reports.
Lorentz's continued absence will allow Easton Cowan to remain in the lineup for at least one more game. Prior to getting hurt, the 29-year-old Lorentz was putting together a decent start to the year, posting two assists, six hits and two blocks while averaging a mere 6:43 of ice time in two outings.

Sean Couturier C | PHI
Flyers' Sean Couturier: Massive night against champs
Couturier scored two goals, including the game-winner, and added two assists in Monday's 5-2 win over the Panthers.
The veteran center was blanked in the Flyers' first two games of the season, but Couturier broke out in a big way Monday as he put together his best performance in nearly a calendar year -- he had a three-goal, five-point effort against the Wild on Oct. 26 of last season. Couturier's role in the offense has faded since he posted back-to-back 76-point regular seasons in 2017-18 and 2018-19. In contrast, he managed just 26 goals and 83 points in 153 regular-season contests across 2023-24 and 2024-25. However, he's still capable of carrying the team once in a while.
