Joel Eriksson Ek C | MIN
Wild's Joel Eriksson Ek: Leaves game after taking high stick
Eriksson Ek sustained an injury to his face from a high stick in Friday's game versus the Mammoth, and there was no update on his status after the contest, Joe Smith of The Athletic reports.
Eriksson Ek's status is in doubt for Sunday's game versus the Blues. The 29-year-old forward saw his seven-game point streak come to an end when he failed to return to the contest. If he can't play, Ben Jones will likely draw into the lineup.

Mikael Granlund C | ANA
Ducks' Mikael Granlund: Absent again Friday
Granlund (upper body) won't play Friday versus the Jets, Zach Cavanagh of The Sporting Tribune reports.
Granlund will miss his second game in a row due to the issue. The 34-year-old forward was considered day-to-day ahead of this contest, so he may still be an option as soon as Sunday versus the Flames. The Ducks will dress seven defensemen Friday since Troy Terry (upper body) is also out.

Filip Hallander C | PIT
Penguins' Filip Hallander: Recalled from conditioning stint
Hallander (leg) was recalled from his conditioning stint with AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Friday, Seth Rorabaugh of Tribune-Review Sports reports.
Hallander remains on injured reserve for now, but he may be activated prior to Saturday's game versus the Rangers. He is recovering from a blood clot in his leg, which has cost him more than three months of action. Hallander figures to be a bottom-six option for the Penguins once he gets back in the lineup.

Cole Schwindt RW | FLA
Panthers' Cole Schwindt: Slated to miss time
Head coach Paul Maurice said Friday that Schwindt sustained a lower-body injury during Thursday's win over the Maple Leafs and will be out "a while," Jameson Olive of the Panthers' official site reports.
Schwindt has made 22 appearances during his first season with the Panthers, recording three goals, an assist, 25 hits and eight blocked shots while averaging 8:51 of ice time. It's not yet clear when he'll be able to return to action, but Luke Kunin should see increased playing time in Schwindt's absence.

Tyler Seguin C | DAL
Stars' Tyler Seguin: Out until 2026-27
Seguin (knee) will miss the remainder of the 2025-26 campaign and the entirety of the playoffs, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports Friday.
Dallas has filed the paperwork to gain full cap relief for Seguin, but in doing so, the Stars have ruled out the possibility of him returning at any point during the 2026 postseason. This is the second straight campaign that Seguin has missed a major block of time due to injury -- he played in 20 regular-season outings and an additional 18 playoff matches in 2024-25. He'll finish 2025-26 with seven goals and 17 points in 27 appearances. Seguin's contract runs through 2026-27, so he'll probably be back with the Stars next season.

Jack Finley C | STL
Blues' Jack Finley: Draws helper in team debut
Finley notched an assist and two hits in Thursday's 5-1 win over the Kraken.
Finley was plucked off waivers from the Lightning early in the Olympic break, so he's had some time to prepare for his team debut. The 23-year-old forward has four points, 12 shots on net, 39 hits and 21 PIM over 23 appearances this season. Finley will likely settle into a rotational role in the bottom six for the Blues, giving him minimal fantasy value.

Jordan Kyrou C | STL
Blues' Jordan Kyrou: Nets goal in win
Kyrou scored a goal on four shots and went plus-2 in Thursday's 5-1 win over the Kraken.
Kyrou's tally at 1:12 of the second period stood as the game-winner. He's picked up the pace since Jan. 10, earning six goals and 10 assists over 13 contests. The 27-year-old has 33 points, 127 shots on net and a minus-5 rating over 48 outings this season. The Blues are looking to sell at the trade deadline, and Kyrou's got five more years at an $8.125 million cap hit, which would make him a home-run swing for a contender if a deal is to be made somewhere.

Sam Carrick C | BUF
Rangers' Sam Carrick: Finds twine Thursday
Carrick scored a goal on his only shot and added five PIM in Thursday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Flyers.
Carrick scored midway through the first period and fought Garnet Hathaway later in the frame after the Flyer winger's hit on Brennan Othmann. Carrick snapped a five-game point drought with the tally. The gritty center has earned 10 points, 57 shots on net, 82 hits, 53 PIM and 29 blocked shots across 58 appearances in a bottom-six role this season.

Sean Couturier C | PHI
Flyers' Sean Couturier: Pockets assist Thursday
Couturier logged an assist and three hits in Thursday's 3-2 overtime win over the Rangers.
Couturier hasn't been able to shake off a goal drought that's nearing three months. He's been limited to 10 assists over that 31-game span, and just three of those helpers have come in his last 17 contests. The veteran center is at 27 points, 91 shots on net, 67 hits, 36 blocked shots, 22 PIM and a minus-6 rating through 57 appearances. Couturier is filling a middle-six role and can still contribute on the ice defensively, but his offense isn't fantasy-worthy this season.

Trevor Zegras C | PHI
Flyers' Trevor Zegras: Ties game Thursday
Zegras scored a goal, added two PIM and logged two hits in Thursday's 3-2 overtime win over the Rangers.
Zegras was limited to one goal and four assists over his previous 10 games. He tied this contest at 2-2 early in the third period, ultimately forcing overtime, where Matvei Michkov had the winning tally. Zegras has reached the 50-point mark for the first time in three years with 21 goals, 29 assists, 125 shots on net, 29 hits, 36 PIM and a minus-7 rating over 58 appearances in his first year with the Flyers.
