  • Penguins' Rickard Rakell: Racks up 14 points in last 11 games

Rakell had two goals and an assist in Thursday's 4-3 shootout win over Ottawa.

Rakell has six goals and eight assists in his last 11 games. He has fired 24 shots and was held off the scoresheet just once in that span. It was Rakell's first three-point game of the season and first since Dec. 23, 2024. The winger has 17 goals, 22 assists, five power-play goals, eight power-play assists, 137 shots and 66 hits in 51 games this season.

  • Sharks' Alexander Wennberg: Finds twine Thursday

Wennberg scored a goal, placed two shots on net and recorded two blocked shots in Thursday's 2-1 overtime loss to St. Louis.

Wennberg tied Thursday's contest early in the third period before the Sharks fell in the final moments of overtime. Overall, the 31-year-old center has 14 goals, 45 points, 82 shots on net and 85 blocked shots across 69 games this season. The 12-year NHL veteran has impressed on both ends of the ice this season. He's on pace to reach the 50-point mark for just the second time in his career and also ranks third among the league's forwards in blocked shots. He holds solid fantasy value in nearly all category-based leagues for the remainder of the regular season.

  • Avalanche's Gavin Brindley: Drops to AHL

Brindley was reassigned to AHL Colorado following Thursday's 3-2 win over the Jets.

Brindley was a healthy scratch for Thursday's game. The Avalanche are as healthy as they've been in weeks, so Brindley will find steadier playing time with the Eagles. He was papered down to the AHL on March 6, making him eligible for an AHL playoff run as well.

  • Jets' Morgan Barron: Enters concussion protocol

Barron is in the concussion protocol following his exit from Thursday's game versus the Avalanche, Ken Wiebe of The Winnipeg Free Press reports.

Barron took a hit from Josh Manson and then fought the Colorado defensemen right after, which likely played a factor in the head trauma. The 27-year-old Barron will need to be clear of concussion symptoms before he is able to return to game action. The Jets have just 11 healthy forwards on the roster currently, so a call-up may be necessary to fill out the lineup.

  • Zack Bolduc C | MON

Canadiens' Zachary Bolduc: Breaks two major slumps

Bolduc scored a goal and added an assist in Thursday's 2-1 win over the Blue Jackets.

Bolduc played slump breaker Thursday. He set up Jayden Struble in the first period for the defender's first goal since Nov. 26, 2024. And then Bolduc potted the winner over Jet Greaves' shoulder in the third. It was his first goal since Dec. 23, ending a 31-game goal drought. Bolduc had nine assists and was scratched twice in that span. He has 11 goals, 17 assists and 150 hits in 69 games this season.

  • Kings' Jimmy Lombardi: Adds three points Thursday

Lombardi scored a goal and added two assists in OHL Flint's 8-1 Game 1 win over Owen Sound on Thursday.

Lombardi was one of a few NHL-affiliated prospects to have a big performance in Flint's opener. He took a huge step up this season with 36 goals and 72 points over 65 regular-season outings, shooting 20 percent on the year. His OHL playoff history is fairly limited -- he had just two points over nine contests in two postseasons prior to his three-point burst Thursday.

  • Penguins' Sidney Crosby: Dealing with LBI

Crosby is dealing with a lower-body injury after leaving Thursday's game versus the Senators, Josh Yohe of The Athletic reports.

No further details were provided, leaving Crosby's status for Saturday versus the Stars in doubt. The 38-year-old will likely be evaluated further between now and then to determine the severity of the issue. The Penguins might need to call on Kevin Hayes to enter the lineup if Crosby misses time, as the team is once again running a bit thin down the middle.

  • Panthers' Evan Rodrigues: Likely done for season

Rodrigues broke a finger in Thursday's game versus the Wild and is likely done for the season, David Dwork of The Hockey News reports.

It's not yet clear if Rodrigues will require surgery. However, with just three weeks left in the season, he is not expected to return anyway, though his recovery timeline could be longer if surgery is required. Rodrigues will likely be okay by the start of 2026-27, which will be a contract year for the forward. He produced 31 points in 69 outings this season.

  • Sam Steel C | DAL

Stars' Sam Steel: Leaves Thursday's game

Steel (undisclosed) didn't finish Thursday's game versus the Islanders, and head coach Glen Gulutzan had no update on his status after the contests, Lia Assimakopoulos of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Steel left the game in the third period and didn't return. He can be considered day-to-day until more information is available. The Stars have a back-to-back on the weekend, playing in Pittsburgh on Saturday and Philadelphia on Sunday, and it's not clear if Steel will play in those contests. Michael Bunting will check back in if Steel is unavailable.

  • Ducks' Jansen Harkins: Leaves road trip

Harkins (upper body) has left the Ducks' road trip to return to Anaheim for further evaluation on his injury, Derek Lee of The Hockey News reports Thursday.

This suggests Harkins will miss a second game Saturday versus the Oilers, which is the final contest of the trip. Pending further information, Harkins is day-to-day, with his status for Monday versus the Maple Leafs still to be determined.
