The 29-year-old superstar has added eight assists, 24 shots, 10 hits, five blocked shots and a plus-7 rating over eight playoff outings. • Capitals' Connor McMichael: Gets fourth goal of postseason

McMichael scored a goal in a 3-1 win over Carolina on Thursday in Game 2.

It was a strange goal. Carolina's Sean Walker attempted a dump-in but hit his teammate Shayne Gostisbehere in the face. McMichael grabbed the loose puck and took off, skating in alone on Frederik Andersen and firing the puck right shelf to put the Capitals up 1-0. It was his fourth goal of the postseason; he has six points and 16 shots in seven games. McMichael took a big step forward during the regular season with 57 points, including 26 goals, in 82 games, and he has continued that effort into the postseason.

It will be Dorofeyev's third consecutive game on the shelf. He had 35 goals and 52 points across 82 regular-season outings. Dorofeyev has also supplied a goal and an assist in five playoff appearances this year. Victor Olofsson is likely to remain in a middle-six role due to Dorofeyev's continued absence.

Karlstrom signed a four-year deal with Linkoping HC in Sweden on Thursday, Tony Androckitis of Inside AHL Hockey reports.

However, he'll return to the SHL next year after struggling to see much NHL action over the past few seasons. Maple Leafs' Max Domi: Two points in Wednesday's win

Domi produced an even-strength goal and a power-play assist Wednesday in the Maple Leafs' 4-3 win over the Panthers in Game 2 of their second-round series.

It's the first multi-point performance of the postseason for Domi, who's picked up two goals and four points in eight games. The power-play point was also his first since March 10, as he helped set up a Max Pacioretty tally late in the first period. Domi managed just eight goals and 33 points in 74 regular-season appearances, but he's providing solid secondary scoring for Toronto in the playoffs.

  • Panthers' Eetu Luostarinen: Two helpers against Leafs

Luostarinen picked up two assists Wednesday in the Panthers' 4-3 loss to the Maple Leafs in Game 2 of their second-round series.

Luostarinen has collected two goals and eight points during his heater, but Florida will need more scoring from its big guns if it's going to rebound from a 2-0 series deficit.

  • Panthers' Anton Lundell: Two points in Game 2 loss

Lundell produced a goal and an assist Wednesday in the Panthers' 4-3 loss to the Maple Leafs in Game 2 of their second-round series.

The 23-year-old center got onto the scoresheet for the fourth straight game, setting up a Brad Marchand marker in the second period before briefly tying the game at 3-3 with his own tally early in the third. Lundell has three goals and eight points during his scoring streak, an impressive turnaround after he was held without a point in the Panthers' first three games this postseason.

  • Jets' Mason Appleton: Slings assist in Game 1 loss
