  • Clayton Keller RW | UTA

Hockey Club's Clayton Keller: Two power-play points vs. Jets

Keller recorded a goal and an assist, both on the power play, in Saturday's 4-1 win over the Jets.

Keller opened the scoring with his 26th goal of the season just 4:24 into the game, and he later set up Barrett Hayton's tally to double the lead. Keller's tied with Dylan Guenther for the team lead in goals, and Keller's 82 points are 23 more than second-place Nick Schmaltz has among Utah's skaters. Keller needs four points in Utah's last five games to match his career high of 86 points, established in the 2022-23 campaign.

  • Jets' Mark Scheifele: Keeps hot streak alive

Scheifele scored a power-play goal and took six shots in Saturday's 4-1 loss to Utah.

The 32-year-old center continues to find ways to produce on offense for the Jets, and this was the second straight game Scheifele found the back of the net, but his goal was all the offense Winnipeg would muster. Scheifele has cracked the scoresheet in all but one of his last eight appearances, a stretch in which he's recorded three goals, five assists, 19 shots, five hits, six blocked shots and a minus-1 rating.

  • Penguins' Evgeni Malkin: Pockets helper in return

Malkin notched a power-play assist in Saturday's 5-3 win over the Stars.

Making his return after a four-game absence due to an upper-body injury, Malkin wasted little time making an impact as he set up Sidney Crosby for the afternoon's first goal early in the first period. The 38-year-old Malkin is nearing the end of his Hall of Fame career -- after not missing a game in each of the prior two seasons, he has suited up for only 63 of Pittsburgh's 77 contests so far in 2024-25, producing 15 goals and 47 points.

  • Penguins' Sidney Crosby: Four points in Saturday's win

Crosby scored three goals, one on the power play, and added an even-strength assist in Saturday's 5-3 win over the Stars.

After opening the scoring on the afternoon with his 10th power-play tally of the season early in the first period, Crosby took control of the game in the third en route to his 14th career hat trick. His final goal, an empty-netter, gave him 30 on the campaign -- the 13th time he's reached that plateau. With five games left on the Penguins' schedule, Crosby needs four more points to hit 90 for the ninth time.

  • Panthers' Rasmus Asplund: Recalled Sunday

Asplund was recalled from AHL Charlotte on Saturday.

Asplund appeared in two games with Florida earlier this season, averaging 7:32 of ice time. The 27-year-old center figures to provide some depth with Aleksander Barkov (upper body) and Nico Sturm (upper body) both banged up.

  • Capitals' Aliaksei Protas: Deemed week-to-week

Protas (foot) is week-to-week and won't play against the Islanders on Sunday, Bailey Johnson of The Washington Post reports.

Protas could miss the remainder of the regular season after being cut by a skate in Friday's 5-3 win over Chicago. After Sunday's matchup, Washington has only five games left before the beginning of the playoffs. Protas has been a breakout producer in 2024-25, compiling 30 goals, 66 points and 142 shots on net in 76 appearances. Anthony Beauvillier will replace Protas in Sunday's lineup.

  • Blues' Dalibor Dvorsky: Summoned from minors

Dvorsky was recalled from AHL Springfield on Sunday.

During his previous stint in the NHL, Dvorsky was a healthy scratch in five of six games. He didn't do anything of note on the stat sheet in his lone appearance, logging 10:40 of ice time in his NHL debut versus Nashville on March 23. Dvorsky has amassed 20 goals and 44 points in 59 AHL outings this season.

  • Flames' Mikael Backlund: First point since return

Backlund logged an assist in Saturday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Golden Knights.

Backlund snapped a six-game point drought, though he also missed six contests due to an upper-body injury in that stretch. He set up Matthew Coronato's third-period tally, which tied the game at 2-2. Backlund has had a down year with 25 points, 158 shots on net, 43 blocked shots, 37 hits and a minus-1 rating over 70 appearances. He also missed action for the first time since 2020-21, though the injury absence doesn't explain all of the drop in his offense from his 39-point total a year ago.

  • Flames' Blake Coleman: Records 20th helper of season

Coleman notched an assist and two shots on goal in Saturday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Golden Knights.

Coleman helped out on a Joel Hanley tally late in the second period. The 33-year-old Coleman has three points over his last two contests, bouncing back from a recent six-game slump. For the year, he's at 15 goals, 20 assists, 182 shots on net, 160 hits, 57 blocked shots and a minus-8 rating through 76 appearances in a middle-six role.

  • Nazem Kadri C | COL

Flames' Nazem Kadri: Earns 400th career assist

Kadri supplied an assist and added two PIM in Saturday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Golden Knights.

Kadri earned his 400th helper just four games after he reached the 700-point mark in a March 29 overtime loss to the Oilers. The 34-year-old center has reached the 60-point mark in 2024-25, achieving the feat with 31 goals and 29 assists over 76 contests. Kadri has hit the 60-point plateau four times in his career, including three of the last four seasons. He's added 257 shots on net, 51 hits, 72 PIM and a minus-18 rating this year.
