  • Nic Dowd C | LV

Capitals' Nic Dowd: Helps out on empty-netter

Dowd logged an assist in Sunday's 4-2 win over the Kraken.

Dowd had gone 10 games without a point since his three-point effort in a 6-3 win over the Panthers on Feb. 4. Scoring is not Dowd's primary source of value to the Capitals, as he remains a strong defensive center in a bottom-six role. He has 22 points through 64 outings this season, which is right in line with his usual production over the last four years. He's added 68 shots on net, 104 hits, 67 blocked shots, 42 PIM and a plus-9 rating. He needs seven more appearances to set a career high in games played, and his good health could also help him surpass his career-high 25 points from the 2022-23 campaign.

  • Jets' Vladislav Namestnikov: Expected to be fine

Namestnikov should be fine after leaving Sunday's 4-2 loss to Carolina because of a concussion spotter, Mike McIntyre of the Winnipeg Free Press reports Monday.

Head coach Scott Arniel told reporters Monday that Namestnikov had more of a nose issue than a head injury. The 32-year-old Namestnikov has 10 goals, 30 points, 73 shots on net, 41 blocked shots and 65 hits in 61 appearances this season. Namestnikov will probably be in the lineup for Tuesday's game versus the Rangers.

  • Blackhawks' Jason Dickinson: Returning to action Monday

Dickinson (ankle) will return to the lineup for Monday's road game against the Avalanche, Mark Lazerus of The Athletic reports.

Dickinson has missed over a month due to a high-ankle sprain, but he'll be back in action on the first line during Monday's matchup. Over 53 appearances this year, Dickinson has recorded seven goals, nine assists, 93 hits, 49 blocked shots and 14 PIM while averaging 15:56 of ice time.

  • Penguins' Evgeni Malkin: Scores power-play goal

Malkin tallied a power-play goal, took three shots on net and had four PIM in Sunday's 3-1 win over Minnesota.

Malkin lit the lamp on the power play for Sunday's first goal of the game. Overall, the 38-year-old center is up to 13 goals, 42 points and 97 shots on target in 56 appearances this season. While the 2024-25 season has been another year of decline for Malkin, he has been solid since his return from a lower-body injury with eight points in nine games. His recent play gives him good value in all formats in fantasy for the rest of the season. He should land in the 50-55-point range by the end of the year at his current pace but could contend for 60 with a few big performances.

  • Penguins' Sidney Crosby: Tallies two goals in win

Crosby scored two goals, including an empty-net tally, and took three shots on net in Sunday's 3-1 win against the Wild.

Both of Crosby's goals were in the third period, and his empty-net goal with just over a minute to play helped seal the game for Pittsburgh. The 37-year-old superstar is up to 21 goals, 68 points and 181 shots on net in 64 games this season. Sunday's performance was Crosby's first multi-goal game since Nov. 2 and his third such effort of the season. He is currently tied for 17th in the league in points and his 21 goals are tied for second on the Penguins. Even in his 20th season, Crosby remains an elite option in fantasy and should challenge for the 80-point mark for the 14th time in his career.

  • Jiri Kulich C | BUF

Sabres' Jiri Kulich: Will not play Monday

Kulich (illness) will miss Monday's game versus Edmonton, Lance Lykowski of The Buffalo News reports.

Kulich was unable to play Saturday in Florida due to the illness. The talented 20-year-old has 12 goals and seven assists over 47 games this season. Jordan Greenway (illness) could reenter the lineup if healthy, otherwise Josh Dunne will make his second straight appearance for the Sabres.

  • Shane Wright C | SEA

Kraken's Shane Wright: Nets goal Sunday

Wright tallied a goal on two shots in Sunday's 4-2 loss to Washington.

Wright's goal opened the scoring in Sunday's contest midway through the first period. Overall, the 21-year-old center has 15 goals, 38 points and 66 shots on net in 62 appearances this season. The fourth overall selection from the 2022 NHL Entry Draft is having a solid showing in his first full season in the league. While he has cooled off from his 12-point run across 10 games from earlier this season, he has two goals in his last four games and is continuing to make an impact in his third-line role. Wright has solid value in deeper leagues down the stretch in fantasy.

  • Dylan Strome C | WAS

Capitals' Dylan Strome: Nets goal Sunday

Strome tallied a goal on his lone shot in Sunday's 4-2 win against Seattle.

Strome's tally gave the Capitals a 2-1 lead early in the second period. His tally brought his season totals to 19 goals, 63 points and 115 shots on net in 64 games this season. The 28-year-old center scored his first goal since Feb. 23, when he had a three-game goal streak. Strome has been a consistent force on offense for Washington and has 17 points in his last 15 games. With a large amount of usage on the Capitals' top line and power play, he's in a great spot to pass his career best of 67 points by the end of this season.

  • Capitals' Connor McMichael: Posts multi-point effort

McMichael tallied the game-winning goal, registered an assist and took three shots on net in Sunday's 4-2 win against the Kraken.

McMichael's game-winner arrived with less than five minutes remaining in the contest. The 24-year-old forward is up to 23 goals, 50 points, and 141 shots on net in 64 games this season. McMichael has three multi-point performances in his last six games and has been producing near a point-per-game pace over his last 20 games (18 points). He is currently skating on Washington's second line and top power-play unit. This season is the first time McMichael has reached the 50-point mark, and he has plenty of time to add to his career year. He has great fantasy value down the stretch and is a great name to roster in all standard-size leagues.

  • Blue Jackets' Mathieu Olivier: Scores, assists vs. Rangers

Olivier recorded a goal and an assist in Sunday's 7-3 win over the Rangers. He also recorded four shots on goal, two hits, one blocked shot and a plus-2 rating.

Olivier recorded his third multi-point game of the season, and first since Oct. 22, but what stands out is the fact that he's been very productive in recent games. The 28-year-old winger has cracked the scoresheet in four of his last six appearances and tallied five points (three goals, two helpers) over that span. This six-game stretch erased a nine-game point drought between Jan. 23 and Feb. 22.
