Calle Jarnkrok C | TOR
Maple Leafs' Calle Jarnkrok: Nearing return
Jarnkrok (groin) was a full participant in Saturday's practice but won't play against Pittsburgh on Sunday, David Alter of The Hockey News reports.
It remains unclear when Jarnkrok will see his first game action of the 2024-25 campaign after having groin and sports hernia surgery in November, but he appears close to being an option to come off long-term injured reserve. Jarnkrok had 10 goals and 21 points across 52 regular-season appearances in 2023-24.

Pavel Zacha C | BOS
Bruins' Pavel Zacha: Two helpers in Pittsburgh
Zacha notched two assists, one on the power play, in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Penguins.
Both helpers came in the first period as Zacha got onto the scoresheet for the third straight contest. The 27-year-old center has only one goal in the last 14 games, but he's been plenty productive as a distributor with 10 assists during that stretch.

Trevor Zegras C | PHI
Ducks' Trevor Zegras: Finishes serving suspension
Zegras is eligible to return to the lineup against Edmonton on Tuesday after serving his three-game suspension.
Zegras has accounted for seven goals, 16 points and 70 shots on net in 34 appearances this season. The 23-year-old Zegras had been playing in the team's top six before the suspension and could bump Mason McTavish to a third-line role in Tuesday's matchup.

Ryan Strome C | CGY
Ducks' Ryan Strome: Generates helper in loss
Strome posted an assist, three shots on goal and two blocked shots in Saturday's 6-3 loss to the Blackhawks.
Strome has five points and 11 shots on net over his last four games. The 31-year-old center set up Jackson LaCombe's tally in the second period. Strome is up to 35 points, 107 shots on net and 40 PIM across 59 appearances. He chips in a little bit across the board while seeing top-six minutes, so he's a viable depth option as a playmaker in fantasy for managers who are getting category coverage elsewhere.

Leo Carlsson C | ANA
Ducks' Leo Carlsson: Two goals in loss
Carlsson scored twice in Saturday's 6-3 loss to the Blackhawks.
Carlsson has four goals and two assists over five games since he played with Team Sweden at the 4 Nations Face-Off. The 20-year-old center is laying the groundwork for a strong close to 2024-25 after he had some struggles over the first three months of the campaign. Carlsson is up to 13 goals, surpassing last year's total, and he's at 25 points, four shy of his rookie-year output. He's added 68 shots on net and a plus-1 rating while seeing steady top-six minutes. Fantasy managers should remember that he's nowhere near his full potential yet -- Carlson's playing his way into the conversation in redraft leagues, but he's a star in the making for keeper and dynasty teams.

Craig Smith C | DET
Blackhawks' Craig Smith: Helpers in back-to-back games
Smith logged an assist and two shots on goal in Saturday's 6-3 win over the Ducks.
Smith briefly left the contest in the third period, but he was able to return, ending with 10:56 of ice time. The winger has two goals and two helpers over his last four outings. For the season, he's up to 15 points, 73 shots on net, 26 hits, 28 PIM and a minus-8 rating through 38 appearances in a fourth-line role. His limited usage leads to little fantasy value, so most managers can look elsewhere for a depth forward.

Teuvo Teravainen C | CHI
Blackhawks' Teuvo Teravainen: Racks up three points in win
Teravainen scored a goal and added two assists in Saturday's 6-3 win over the Ducks.
Teravainen has gotten on the scoresheet in seven of the last eight games, earning three goals and nine assists. The 30-year-old has emerged as a leader in the middle six with 14 goals, 32 assists, 90 shots on net and a minus-14 rating over 60 appearances. Teravainen's $5.4 million cap hit for two more seasons after 2024-25 likely makes him unmovable in a trade. However, he's starting to find success independent of Connor Bedard, giving the Blackhawks' offense another dimension.
-
Ryan Donato C | CHI
Blackhawks' Ryan Donato: Stellar stretch continues
Donato scored twice, added an assist and went plus-2 in Saturday's 6-3 win over the Ducks.
Donato set up a Teuvo Teravainen goal in the second period before scoring two of his own in the third. One of Donato's tallies came on the power play, where he continues to make a notable impact. The 28-year-old has six goals and eight assists over nine contests since the start of February. His surge helped him reach the 20-goal mark for the first time in his career, and he's at 43 points (11 on the power play), 131 shots on net, 94 hits and a minus-9 rating through 58 appearances this season.
-
Klim Kostin C | SJ
Sharks' Klim Kostin: Helpers in consecutive contests
Kostin logged an assist and three hits in Saturday's 5-3 loss to the Senators.
Kostin has a helper in each of his last two games. He was removed from injured reserve Feb. 8 after missing 12 games due to a lower-body injury, but the Sharks opted not to put him back in the lineup immediately. Kostin has seemingly leapfrogged Walker Duehr for time on the fourth line. Kostin has had a rough campaign with six points, 19 shots on net, 25 PIM and 88 hits across 28 appearances, but he finished strong with 10 points in his final 19 contests of 2023-24 and could be setting the foundation for another late-season surge.

Shane Pinto C | OTT
Senators' Shane Pinto: Shorthanded goal in return
Pinto scored a shorthanded goal and went plus-2 in Saturday's 5-3 win over the Sharks.
Pinto opened the scoring at 11:05 of the first period. The 24-year-old center returned from a four-game absence due to an upper-body injury, and he saw 16:33 of ice time while playing on the third line at even strength. He's now at 12 goals, 23 points (five shorthanded, two on the power play), 92 shots on net and a plus-6 rating through 47 appearances this season.
