  • Noah Dobson D | MON

Canadiens' Noah Dobson: Lights lamp Monday

Dobson scored a power-play goal on four shots, blocked four shots, added two PIM and went plus-2 in Monday's 6-3 win over the Canucks.

Dobson's tally tied the game at 1-1 late in the first period. The 26-year-old defenseman is starting to heat up again with two goals over his last three games after opening January scoreless over four contests. For the season, he's earned nine goals, 29 points, 92 shots on net, 115 blocked shots, 24 PIM and a plus-2 rating over 46 appearances.

  • Erik Cernak D | TB

Lightning's Erik Cernak: Earns first helper since return

Cernak logged an assist, five blocked shots, two hits and two PIM in Monday's 5-1 win over the Flyers.

The helper was Cernak's first point in six games since he returned from a long-term hand injury. The 28-year-old defenseman has resumed a second-pairing role and will continue to provide steady physical play when in the lineup. For the season, Cernak has five helpers, 15 shots on net, 25 PIM, 54 hits and 54 blocked shots over 25 outings.

  • Carson Soucy D | NYI

Rangers' Carson Soucy: Picks up helper in loss

Soucy logged an assist and two hits in Monday's 4-2 loss to the Kraken.

Soucy ended a 17-game point drought when he assisted on Mika Zibanejad's first-period tally. The 31-year-old Soucy has seven points, 34 shots on net, 65 hits, 57 blocked shots and a plus-5 rating over 43 appearances this season. He plays a steady defensive game, but he's not a strong fantasy option given his limited offense.

  • Hurricanes' Shayne Gostisbehere: Nets power-play marker

Gostisbehere scored a power-play goal on four shots, blocked two shots and added 10 PIM in Monday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Red Wings.

Gostisbehere has two power-play goals and an even-strength assist over his last four games. His misconduct penalty came at the end of overtime, accounting for his first PIM since Nov. 17 in Boston. The defenseman continues to provide high-end offense from the blue line, earning six goals, 32 points (10 on the power play), 68 shots on net, 41 blocked shots and a plus-11 rating through 34 appearances.

  • Dysin Mayo D | CLB

Blue Jackets' Dysin Mayo: Elevated from minors

Mayo was recalled from AHL Cleveland on Tuesday.

Mayo has appeared in just two games for the Jackets this season, registering one assist, four shots and one block while averaging 8:35 of ice time. The blueliner will provide emergency cover on the backend after Denton Mateychuk (upper body) was ruled out against the Flames on Tuesday.

  • Red Wings' Albert Johansson: Nets first goal of season

Johansson scored a goal, added two PIM and blocked two shots in Monday's 4-3 overtime win over the Hurricanes.

Johansson has picked up the pace with four points over his last 12 games. While that's not a particularly notable scoring rate, that stretch accounts for more than half of his offense this season. He's at seven points, 31 shots on net, 36 hits, 64 blocked shots and a minus-10 rating through 47 appearances while seeing bottom-four minutes.

  • Panthers' Uvis Balinskis: Snags power-play assist

Balinskis registered a power-play assist and went plus-2 in Monday's 4-3 win over the Sabres.

Balinskis ended a 12-game point drought when he set up Sam Reinhart's goal 2:35 into the game. The 29-year-old Balinskis doesn't typically get much power-play time, though he has picked up some recently since Seth Jones (upper body) exited the lineup. For the season, Balinskis has eight points, 31 shots on net, 47 hits, 26 blocked shots and 24 PIM across 36 appearances in a bottom-four role.

  • Jake Walman D | EDM

Oilers' Jake Walman: Removed from LTIR

Walman (lower body) was activated from long-term injured reserve Tuesday.

Following a 23-game absence, Walman should return to the lineup against Nashville on Tuesday. He has contributed three goals, 10 points, 23 shots on net, 31 blocked shots and seven hits in 17 appearances this season.

  • Blue Jackets' Denton Mateychuk: Not an option against Calgary

Mateychuk (upper body) will be sidelined for Tuesday's home game versus the Flames, Mark Scheig of The Hockey Writers reports.

General manager Don Waddell conveyed to reporters that he doesn't expect Mateychuk to miss much time if his doctor's visit goes well. Tuesday's evaluation will be a second opinion for Mateychuk, as the blueliner was assessed by a different doctor Monday, per Jeff Svoboda of the Blue Jackets' official site. Due to Mateychuk's absence, Dante Fabbro will slide into a top-four role, while Jake Christiansen is set to draw back into the lineup Tuesday.

  • Flyers' Jamie Drysdale: Nearing return to lineup

Drysdale (upper body) might be ready to return against Buffalo on Wednesday, Charlie O'Connor of PHLY Sports reports.

Drysdale remains on injured reserve for now, but he has been practicing and could return from a three-game absence soon. He has generated three goals, 18 points, 45 shots on net and 41 blocked shots across 41 appearances this season.
